Demographic Doomerism: The West Is Dying, But It's Kinda Our Own Fault
No babies, only doom: Turns out trashing tradition for woke nonsense has consequences.

So, the experts are finally admitting it: The West is kinda… dying. Deaths are outpacing births all over the place. Prof. Sarah Harper from the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing is clutching her pearls about it, but honestly, did we expect anything else after decades of cultural self-sabotage?
Harper's wringing her hands that 21 out of 27 EU countries are popping out more corpses than crotch goblins. Japan, South Korea, even Cuba and Uruguay are facing the same demographic cliff. But instead of blaming, you know, the death cult of progressivism, they're just saying, “Oh, people are living longer and not having kids.” Groundbreaking analysis, Sherlock.
Here's the real tea: We incentivized this mess. We demonized traditional families, pushed abortion-on-demand, and told everyone their career is more important than procreating. Now we're surprised that nobody wants to pump out babies? Color me shocked.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) in the UK is projecting that deaths will outnumber births every year starting in 2026. The boomers are kicking the bucket (finally), and Gen Z and Millennials are too busy virtue signaling on TikTok to consider having families. Congrats, we played ourselves.
Dr. Paul Morland, some demographer dude, is all like, “Life expectancy has been rising since the 18th century!” Okay, boomer. We get it, people are living longer. But who's gonna pay for their Depends and endless rounds of medical care when there are no young taxpayers to foot the bill?
Prof. Melanie Channon at the University of Bath is whining that fertility is declining even among the under-30s. Well, duh! Who can afford to raise kids when they’re saddled with student loan debt and can barely afford rent? Maybe if we stopped giving handouts to gender studies majors, we’d have a few more families.
Dr. Bernice Kuang from the University of Southampton is crying about struggling schools and childminders. Boo hoo. Maybe if they stopped teaching kids about pronouns and started focusing on actual education, parents would be more inclined to send their kids there.
Japan’s got companies cleaning up after lonely old people who die alone in their apartments. Italy’s selling houses for one euro to try and lure people back to dying villages. The UK is closing schools because there aren't enough kids. This isn't a “broader shift,” it's a goddamn catastrophe. A self-inflicted one.
