Dem Candidate Platner's Nazi Tat: Just a 'Mistake,' Says the Left. Sure, Jan.
While libs defend their guy with the SS ink, sane Americans wonder when the Dems lost their minds (again).

So, this Dem dude, Graham Platner, running for Senate in Maine, has a Nazi tattoo. A Nazi tattoo. Apparently, it's a 'totenkopf,' which, for the uninitiated, is basically a skull and crossbones favored by Hitler's SS. Platner claims he didn't know what it meant when he got it back in '07 while stationed in Croatia. Right. And AOC is a fiscal conservative.
Rep. Jake Auchincloss, bless his heart, actually called this out, saying the tattoo is 'personally disqualifying.' Good for him. He's one of the few Dems with a functioning brain. The rest? Crickets. They're too busy trying to figure out how to spin this into a 'teachable moment' about tolerance. Tolerance for Nazis, apparently.
Chuck Schumer gave a tepid thumbs-up, probably because he'd back a potato if it ran as a Democrat in Maine. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren? They're all in on Platner. Warren even called him 'her kind of man.' Makes you wonder what kind of men she's into. Hint: it rhymes with 'shmascist.'
The real kicker is Platner's explanation. He got this tattoo, which looks suspiciously like something ripped from a Nazi propaganda poster, while drunk in Croatia. Okay, I've had a few beers in my day, but I've never woken up with a swastika tramp stamp. Maybe I'm just not woke enough. Or maybe Platner's full of something that rhymes with 'bullschmidt'.
Let's be real: this isn't just some dumb mistake. This is a massive red flag. It shows either a stunning lack of awareness or, worse, a secret admiration for some seriously evil stuff. Either way, it's not exactly the kind of thing you want in a US Senator. Unless, of course, you're into that sort of thing. Which, judging by the Dems' reaction, some of them clearly are.
Meanwhile, Susan Collins is probably polishing her halo and wondering if she should send Platner a thank-you note. This is the kind of gift that keeps on giving. The Dems are handing her the election on a silver platter. All she has to do is not screw it up, which, admittedly, is a low bar for her.
This whole thing is just another example of the Left's hypocrisy. They scream about 'hate speech' and 'white supremacy' at every turn, but when one of their own is sporting Nazi ink, suddenly it's no big deal. It's just a 'misunderstanding.' They’ll probably argue that he’s ‘evolving’ or that we need to give him a ‘second chance’ to signal even harder that he denounces the evil that he willingly adorned his body with for years.
So, congrats, Dems. You've officially jumped the shark. You've gone full woke. You've embraced a candidate with Nazi ties. You've proven that your outrage is selective and your principles are nonexistent. You played yourselves.
The sheer audacity of this situation is breathtaking. They really expect us to believe this guy didn't know what the 'totenkopf' meant? They think we're that stupid? Well, maybe some of their base is. But the rest of us are laughing. And shaking our heads. And wondering how much further this country can fall before it hits rock bottom.
This isn't about Platner. It's about the Democratic Party's descent into madness. It's about their willingness to sacrifice anything, including their own supposed values, for political power. It's a sad state of affairs, and it's a wake-up call for anyone who still thinks the Left has any sense of decency left.
I'm not saying Platner is a Nazi. I'm just saying he has a Nazi tattoo. And that the Democratic Party is perfectly fine with that. Draw your own conclusions.
Maybe next election cycle, they'll nominate someone with a swastika forehead tattoo. That'll really show those Republicans who's boss.
