Congolese Shoplifter Bites the Dust in Dublin: Another BLM Moment?
Yves Sakila, a career thief from the Congo, kicks the bucket after a perfume heist gone wrong, and suddenly Ireland's a racist hellhole. Thoughts and prayers.

Dublin, Ireland - So, a Congolese dude named Yves Sakila, 35, allegedly tries to boost a bottle of perfume from Arnotts in Dublin. Security does their job, detains him, and he ends up unresponsive. Now everyone's screaming “racism” and comparing it to George Floyd. You can't make this stuff up.
Apparently, Sakila had a rap sheet longer than your arm and was living in a homeless shelter. Shocking, I know. But the narrative being pushed is that this was some kind of racially motivated killing. Because, of course, anything that happens to a black person is automatically racism. The Left is out in full force, clutching their pearls and demanding Ireland atone for its supposed sins.
The Congolese Foreign Minister even flew over to Dublin to virtue signal and meet with Irish officials. She's “reeling” from the trauma, but also has “patience and trust” in the Irish authorities. Right. Because international incidents over petty theft are totally normal. She wants to know how “excessive force” could happen in broad daylight. Maybe try asking why your citizen was allegedly shoplifting in the first place?
Former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern got caught on tape saying he's worried about taking in people from the Congo. And suddenly, he's the devil incarnate. Never mind the fact that Ireland is facing a housing crisis and a cost-of-living crisis. Blame it all on white supremacy!
The usual suspects are holding vigils with Black Lives Matter signs, because everything is connected to everything else, apparently. Someone even got video of the restraint, and now everyone’s an expert on police tactics. It's always the same script, isn't it?
Let's be real. This wasn't about race. It was about a guy with a history of theft allegedly trying to steal something and getting caught. The security guards were doing their job. If Sakila had followed the law, he'd still be alive. But no, let’s turn it into another excuse to whine about racism.
They are calling for a second postmortem, because the first one didn’t give them the answer they wanted. The family's lawyer has 41 questions for the Gardaí. Forty-one! Sounds like someone's trying to build a case for a juicy payout. Get ready for the grievance industry to milk this one for all it's worth.
So, let's recap. Thief allegedly steals, gets caught, dies, and it's suddenly a referendum on race relations in Ireland. Give me a break. The real problem is the constant victim-mongering and the refusal to take responsibility for one's actions. But hey, what do I know? I'm just a CHUD.
