California Dems Triggered by Their Own Wokeness: Primary Fight Exposes the Clown Show
Golden State's 22nd district becomes a battleground for the soul of the Donkey Party — establishment vs. 'community organizer' (lol).

Bakersfield, CA - The California Dem party, perpetually stuck in a woke feedback loop, is at it again. This time, it's in the 22nd congressional district where the establishment's chosen one, Dr. Jasmeet Bains, is facing a primary challenge from Randy Villegas, a 'community college professor' who probably spends more time virtue signaling than teaching actual skills. The stakes? Only the future of a party that can't decide if it wants to be the party of limousine liberals or the party of perpetually aggrieved minorities.
Bains, bless her heart, is the daughter of Sikh refugees and all that jazz. She's a doctor, so naturally, she wants to 'fix' healthcare – probably by throwing more taxpayer money at the problem. She's got the support of the SEIU, which is basically a union of government employees demanding more money for doing less work. Sounds about right for the modern Dem platform.
Then there's Villegas. A 'community organizer' with a doctoral thesis on 'low voter turnout among young Latinos.' Translation: he's gonna spend the next few months blaming everyone but the voters themselves for their lack of engagement. He probably thinks 'systemic racism' is the answer to every question.
The California redistricting, thanks to the Texas GOP, means this seat is theoretically up for grabs. But instead of focusing on beating Republican David Valadao, the Dems are busy tearing each other apart. Peak performance.
The real issue here is the battle for the soul of the Democratic Party. Do they want to be the party of competence and economic growth, or the party of grievance politics and identity obsession? The answer, judging by this primary fight, is probably the latter. Get ready for four more years of Trump, folks.
The spin from the left is that Villegas represents some kind of grassroots uprising. Sure, if 'grassroots' means a handful of college students who haven't showered in a week. The reality is that Villegas is just another cog in the woke machine, pushing the same tired narratives about oppression and victimhood.
The 'campaigns' are both just exercises in performative wokeness. Bains will talk about 'healthcare equity,' while Villegas will complain about 'systemic injustice.' Neither of them will offer any real solutions to the problems facing the district. It's all just virtue signaling for votes.
