Another One Bites the Dust: Soldier Goes Swimming in Morocco, Didn't Win
So, a U.S. soldier goes missing during some military LARPing in Morocco. Turns out, the Atlantic's a harsh mistress. Thoughts and prayers, I guess.

Alright, folks, let's cut the crap. Another week, another story of something vaguely tragic happening to a member of the Armed Forces. This time, it's a U.S. soldier who decided to take an unscheduled dip in the Atlantic Ocean during some joint military exercises in Morocco. Spoiler alert: the ocean won.
Apparently, this soldier went missing a week ago. Now, I'm not a military strategist, but if someone goes missing during an exercise, shouldn't alarm bells be ringing? Were they playing hide-and-seek with the Moroccan army? Was he trying to defect to Casablanca? Enquiring minds want to know.
The official line is that search and rescue operations were launched immediately. Sure, Jan. Probably involved a bunch of guys standing around scratching their heads and saying, “Well, that's not good.” The Atlantic's a big place; finding a single soldier in it is like finding a needle in a haystack, if the haystack was filled with salt water and sharks.
Now, the virtue signalers will be out in force, wailing about the sacrifices made by our brave men and women in uniform. And yeah, serving your country is a noble thing. But let's be honest, these joint exercises are mostly just geopolitical posturing. A way for the U.S. to say, “Hey, Morocco, we’re still friends! We'll even let you play with our tanks!”
I'm not saying this soldier's death wasn't tragic. Any loss of life is sad, especially for the family. But let's not pretend this was some act of heroic self-sacrifice. It was a training accident, plain and simple. And accidents happen, even in the military.
The Army's promising a full investigation. Translation: a bunch of bureaucrats will spend months writing a report that blames everyone and no one, and nothing will change. The real question is: what could have been done to prevent this? Better safety protocols? More experienced leadership? Or just a little common sense?
Maybe this soldier just had a bad day. Maybe he was tired, stressed, or just plain unlucky. Whatever the reason, he's gone now. And while the politicians and generals will offer their condolences, they'll soon move on to the next crisis, the next war game, the next photo op.
So, pour one out for the fallen soldier. May he rest in peace. And let's hope the brass actually learns something from this tragedy, instead of just paying lip service to “honoring his memory.” Because if they don't, it's only a matter of time before another one bites the dust. Womp womp.
Remember, folks, stay frosty. And maybe think twice before volunteering for a military exercise in the middle of the ocean. Just a thought.
At the end of the day, though, the Deep State keeps chugging along. Another cog lost in the machine, sadly. Keep stacking that silver, folks, because the real war is against the elites, not the waves.
