Another Day, Another Woke Church Goes Up in Flames: 6 Firefighters Triggered
Historic Astoria church learns the hard way: you go woke, you go up in smoke. Also, six firefighters needed therapy dogs.

Alright, folks, gather 'round the digital campfire. Another week, another historic church in NYC gets a serious case of the hiccups – a five-alarm inferno, to be precise. Six firefighters got their participation trophies (aka injuries), and the First Reformed Church of Astoria is now less 'reformed' and more 're-fried'.
The fire, which started in a residence attached to the church (probably a woke commune for social justice knitting circles, let's be honest), spread faster than AOC’s latest fundraising email. 270 fire and EMS personnel showed up – probably because they heard there was free pizza and a chance to virtue signal.
Chief Kevin Woods reported that the roof and walls decided to embrace cancel culture and collapsed. One firefighter even got bonked on the head by a falling brick – talk about a microaggression! He was immediately rushed to a safe space for counseling and gluten-free snacks.
Deacon Kevin Harris (last of his kind, probably – the rest probably identify as non-binary deacons or something) whined about his family attending the church since the 60s. Cry me a river, Kev. Maybe if you spent less time renaming streets after BLM activists and more time on basic building maintenance, this wouldn't have happened.
Some dude named Jack saw the whole thing go down. He said the firefighters were “trying to localize the fire.” Bless his heart. They were probably trying to figure out which pronoun to use for the fire so they didn't offend it. Newsflash: it's a fire. It burns things. Get over it.
State Assemblywoman Diana Moreno, bless her heart, tweeted some woke garbage about “thanking our first responders.” Yeah, okay, Diana. Maybe instead of virtue signaling on Twitter, you could, I don’t know, pass some legislation that supports small businesses and churches instead of funding gender studies programs at Vassar.
The First Reformed Church dates back to the 1830s. So, it was probably built by white supremacists using racist hammers and anti-immigrant nails. Good riddance, I say! (Okay, I'm kidding...mostly.) Seriously though, what kind of society lets their historical buildings crumble while funding drag queen story hour in elementary schools?
Look, I'm not saying this was divine intervention (though, who knows?), but I'm also not not saying it. Maybe this is a wake-up call. Maybe it's time we stopped bowing down to the woke mob and started focusing on the things that actually matter: faith, family, and not burning down historic buildings.
So, what's the takeaway? Churches should probably invest in fire insurance instead of diversity training. Firefighters need to stop attending sensitivity seminars and start lifting weights. And politicians need to get their priorities straight, or they might be the next thing going up in flames. Metaphorically, of course. (Unless…)
In the meantime, I’ll be over here, enjoying a nice, guilt-free steak and laughing at the absurdity of it all. #MAGA #ChurchBBQ #BurnWokeGoBroke
P.S. If anyone has a good recipe for s'mores, hit me up. I hear the First Reformed Church has a ton of extra marshmallows lying around.
