WIMBERLEY, Texas — So, a small plane ate dirt near Wimberley, Texas, late Thursday night. Five souls went to meet their maker (or Satan, depending on their life choices). Emergency personnel showed up, probably unionized, definitely overpaid. Yawn. Wake me when something interesting happens.

Before you can say 'climate change,' the usual suspects are already blaming fossil fuels, capitalism, and maybe even orange man bad. But let's be real: planes crash. Sometimes it's pilot error, sometimes it's a mechanical failure, and sometimes it's just plain dumb luck (or lack thereof).

The NTSB and FAA are on the scene, of course. They'll spend months investigating, produce a report nobody reads, and then implement some new regulation that will cost taxpayers millions and accomplish absolutely nothing. Bureaucracy in action, folks.

Meanwhile, the libs will be clamoring for more government control over aviation. They'll want to ban private planes, increase taxes on pilots, and probably force everyone to fly on government-subsidized electric drones powered by woke virtue signaling. Because that's how you solve problems, right?

But let's cut the crap. Flying is inherently risky. You're hurtling through the air in a metal tube, defying gravity. If you screw up, you die. That's the deal. If you're not comfortable with that, take the bus. Or better yet, stay home and virtue signal on Twitter.

The real story here isn't the plane crash. It's the predictable overreaction from the left, the endless stream of regulations, and the constant attempts to control every aspect of our lives. They want to nanny state you to death.

So, pour one out for the fallen pilots (or don't, I'm not your boss). But don't let this tragedy be used as an excuse to further erode our freedoms and expand the power of the government. Remember, freedom isn't free, and sometimes it involves crashing in a small plane in Texas.

Maybe the pilot was vaxxed and it was sudden adult death syndrome, or maybe he just sucked at flying. The world may never know. But you can bet your bottom dollar that the MSM will find a way to make this about the GOP.

The best we can do is mock the inevitable stupidity that will follow, laugh at the pearl-clutching from blue-haired Karens, and keep on living our lives. The planes still gotta fly, and the oil still gotta flow. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go light up a cigar and contemplate the meaninglessness of existence.

Remember, kids: don't fly drunk, don't trust the government, and always check your six. You never know when the woke mob is coming for your airplane.

And if your plane DOES happen to crash, at least make it memorable. Maybe take out a wind farm or something. That would really trigger the libs.
