Woke Paper Gets Woke-Sued: NYT Faces EEOC Heat for Anti-Whitey Promotion Snub
Turns out even the 'paper of record' can't outrun the karma bus when it comes to playing faves with the identity politics card.
So, the EEOC, bless their hearts, is actually suing The New York Times. Yes, that New York Times, the one that practically invented performative wokeness. Apparently, they discriminated against a white dude. Who saw that coming? (Everyone with a brain, that's who.)
According to the suit, this brave white soul got passed over for a promotion. And the Feds, in a move that's probably giving AOC hives, think it was because he was...wait for it...a white male. The irony, she burns! Like, imagine getting canceled by the cancel culture you helped create. Chef's kiss.
Title VII of the Civil Rights Act? Yeah, it actually covers everyone, not just the perpetually aggrieved. Color me shocked. Of course, this whole thing is probably just a glitch in the Matrix, a simulation error where common sense briefly prevailed.
The NYT hasn't commented yet, but I can already picture the pearl-clutching and emergency DEI meetings. Expect a deluge of articles about “white fragility” and a mandatory reading list featuring Ta-Nehisi Coates. The usual. Anything to deflect from the fact that they might be, GASP, discriminating. Against a demographic they spend all day demonizing.
I'm betting the HR department is running around like chickens with their heads cut off, frantically scrubbing any evidence of blatant anti-white bias from their training materials. Good luck with that, snowflakes. The internet never forgets.
Now, I'm not saying this makes the NYT a bastion of conservative values. They're still a dumpster fire of progressive propaganda. But it does prove that even the most woke corporations can't escape the long arm of the law (or at least, the EEOC). Maybe, just maybe, this will be a wake-up call. But probably not.
Ultimately, this is just another example of the chickens coming home to roost. You can't spend years virtue-signaling about social justice while simultaneously shafting people based on their skin color and expect to get away with it forever. The Karma train makes no detours.
So, pop some popcorn, sit back, and enjoy the show. Watching the NYT squirm is a rare pleasure, and this is one schadenfreude buffet we can all savor. I wonder if they'll print a retraction. Nah... just kidding. They'll probably blame Trump.
And remember kids, being anti-racist doesn't mean being anti-white. Being woke doesn't mean being stupid. And Karma is a dish best served with a side of liberal tears. This whole saga is the ultimate own.
This is a reminder that equality under the law actually means equality under the law. Radical, I know.
So, to the white dude who didn't get the promotion: congrats! You're officially a legend. And to the NYT: Get rekt.
