CASABLANCA, Morocco – So, the military's latest diversity and inclusion training exercise, “African Lion,” turned out about as well as you'd expect: one dead soldier, one missing. Turns out mountains, deserts, and semidesert plains are, like, problematic terrain for a “recreational hike.” Who knew?

First Lieutenant Kendrick Lamont Key Jr., age 27, an Air Defense Artillery officer (because that's what's winning wars these days), went for a dip in the Atlantic Ocean near the Cap Draa Training Area outside Tan-Tan. Now he’s swimming with the fishes. A Moroccan military search team found his body, which I guess is better than nothing. But don't worry, we're still looking for the other guy, probably using woke drones that identify as search-and-rescue operatives.

Apparently, these soldiers went for a “recreational hike” after participating in the African Lion wargames. I'm sure they were given sensitivity training on how to respect the local goat population before venturing out into the wilderness. Priorities, am I right?

This “African Lion” exercise, involving 7,000+ troops from 30+ nations, is apparently the “largest U.S. joint military exercise in Africa.” You know, because Africa is just begging for more American military intervention. I'm sure the locals are thrilled that we're teaching them about pronouns and critical race theory while their economies crumble.

Let's not forget the last time we had fun in Morocco. In 2012, two Marines ate it in a helicopter crash during the same exercise. At least they didn't fall off a cliff while trying to commune with nature.

The Pentagon assures us that they're still searching for the missing soldier. Probably using algorithms programmed to identify microaggressions instead of actual human beings.

So, another day, another dollar wasted on woke military nonsense. Instead of focusing on actual threats, like China and Russia, we're busy virtue signaling our way to oblivion. At least we're inclusive while we lose.

I'm sure Lt. Key's family is comforted knowing he died participating in an exercise designed to promote diversity and inclusion. Mission accomplished!

What’s the lesson here? Stop with the woke crap and focus on actual military preparedness. Oh, and maybe don't go hiking near cliffs after participating in military exercises in the desert. Just a thought.

In the meantime, pour one out for Lt. Key. He died doing what he loved: participating in woke military exercises that accomplish nothing. RIP, bro.
