Woke Congress Considers Throwing $1 Billion at 'Houses of Worship' – For 'Security,' Of Course
Because apparently thoughts and prayers aren't enough anymore, now we gotta pay for moats and drawbridges at every church and synagogue.

D.C. Swamp – So, the geniuses in Congress are debating whether to dump another billion taxpayer dollars into the “Nonprofit Security Grant Program” (NSGP). Translation: Churches, synagogues, mosques – all the usual suspects – want free money to build fortresses. All in the name of ‘security,’ naturally.
According to the official narrative, this is all because of a few isolated incidents, like that San Diego mosque thing and some shenanigans at a Michigan synagogue. Rabbi Whatshername from Temple Israel, Jen Lader, even flew in with her posse to Capitol Hill, whining about how they almost had a really bad day because of some nutjob. "If we had not had those resources and that funding, this would have been a really different story," she blubbered to NPR. Translation: Gimme more free stuff, or the terrorists win!
And don't even get me started on Eric Fingerhut, the president of the Jewish Federations of North America. This guy’s out here saying we gotta treat churches like TSA treats airports. Last time I checked, churches didn't have boarding passes and tiny bottles of shampoo. But hey, what's a little hyperbole when you're trying to score a cool billion?
Of course, the Usual Suspects are already lining up to take their cut of the action. Some dude named Fadi Hammami from the Islamic Association of Greater Hartford is complaining about the program's reimbursement structure. Apparently, waiting to get paid back for your fancy security cameras is too much of a burden. Welcome to the real world, pal. The rest of us have to pay for our own stuff.
Let's be real, this whole thing smells like a giant pork barrel project designed to funnel money to politically connected religious groups. And let's not forget, this whole thing is fueled by fear. Fear of the Other. Fear of the boogeyman. Fear that some radicalized incel is gonna come blasting through your front door.
But hey, maybe I’m just being cynical. Maybe this is all about protecting innocent people from violence. Or maybe it's just another example of politicians lining their pockets and buying votes with our hard-earned cash.
But hey, at least the military gets new equipment out of it, right? After all, it's not the 100 year mark since 9/11 or anything... just a total coincidence.
At this point, all we can do is laugh at the clowns in charge of the circus. But remember to keep one hand on your wallet, because they’re coming for your money. It's always for the children, after all. Or religious security. Whatever.
