White House Shooter Was Just Another Guy the System Failed (Again)
21-year-old Nasire Best, formerly of the 'I'm Jesus' fan club, gets ventilated by Secret Service. Thoughts and prayers.

Okay, so another day, another shooting. This time it's outside the White House. Some dude named Nasire Best, 21 years old, apparently decided to pull a John Hinckley Jr. impersonation and open fire on the Secret Service. Spoiler alert: the Secret Service won. Darwin Award goes to Mr. Best.
Turns out, our buddy Nasire wasn't exactly a Rhodes Scholar. He had a rap sheet and a history of mental health issues longer than Hunter Biden's list of shady deals. Back in July 2025, he was claiming to be Jesus Christ and trying to get arrested. Good times. He'd also been involuntarily committed. So, you know, a real stable genius.
Trump, naturally, hopped on Truth Social to thank the Secret Service and plug his plan to build a super-duper-secure White House. Because that's what really matters here, right? More walls! Maybe we should just build a giant dome around the whole damn city. Problem solved.
The real issue? This guy was clearly screaming for help. He had multiple run-ins with the law and a documented history of mental instability. But did anyone actually help him? Nah. Easier to just slap him with a charge and let him go. It's almost like the system is designed to fail people like Nasire Best. Shocking, I know.
And let's be real, the media is already spinning this into a gun control debate. Because that's always the answer, right? Ban more guns! It'll totally stop crazy people from doing crazy things. Never mind the fact that criminals don't exactly follow the rules. But hey, gotta virtue signal somehow.
The funniest part? The New York Post reported that this dude skipped a court hearing. So, let me get this straight: he's got a history of mental health issues, gets arrested, skips court, and is still allowed to roam free until he decides to shoot up the White House? Brilliant.
So, yeah, thoughts and prayers. But maybe, just maybe, we should start asking some tough questions about why this keeps happening. Maybe we should invest in mental health care that actually works. Maybe we should hold people accountable for failing to help those who need it most. Or maybe we'll just keep building bigger walls and blaming guns. Your call.
In the meantime, remember: stay strapped, kids. And maybe consider a tinfoil hat. You know, just in case.
And of course, the White House Correspondent's Dinner shooting somehow figures into this too, according to Trump. Always gotta find a way to tie it back to his own agenda. Can't let a good crisis go to waste, right?
The FBI's on the case now, because of course they are. Probably gonna spend the next six months trying to figure out if this guy was a Russian spy or something. Meanwhile, the real problem – a broken mental health system and a revolving door justice system – will continue to fester.
But hey, at least the Secret Service got some target practice. Silver linings, people. Silver linings.
This whole thing just proves that we're living in a clown world. Buckle up, buttercups.
