Virginia Goes Full Blue: Dems Rig the Game With New Map (Thanks, Trump?)
The Old Dominion just handed Democrats a potential redistricting victory, and you can bet your bottom dollar the Swamp is lovin' it.

Well, folks, looks like Virginia just went full Swamp. The Democrats, in their infinite wisdom (or should we say, cunning?), managed to convince voters to hand them the keys to the redistricting kingdom. That's right, Virginia just gave the green light to a Democrat-engineered congressional map that could turn the state's House delegation bluer than a Smurf convention. Remember that whole 'drain the swamp' thing? Yeah, this ain't it.
This whole shebang started with a Democratic-backed constitutional amendment, cleverly disguised as 'fairness' and 'equity.' But let's be real, this is about power, pure and simple. The amendment effectively sidelines the state's redistricting commission – the supposed neutral party – and puts the map-drawing pens directly into the hands of the Democrat-controlled legislature. Surprise, surprise.
Now, Virginia's House delegation is currently split six Democrats and four Republicans. But under this new, Democrat-approved map? Hold onto your hats, because projections show it could become a whopping 10 Democrats and a measly one Republican. Translation: conservatives in Virginia are about to get the shaft, big time. The illusion of fair elections continues, but now on the Left's terms.
Of course, all this 'fairness' talk conveniently ignores the fact that both parties have been playing the gerrymandering game for decades. Trump tried to change the game – perhaps to his own advantage, sure, but that's politics. Trump pushed Republicans in Texas to redraw their map, potentially netting them five seats currently held by Democrats. But the Left never sleeps. The 'woke' mob is taking over the map business.
Meanwhile, in California, those progressive geniuses cooked up their own redistricting scheme, projected to add five more Democratic-leaning districts. North Carolina, Missouri and Ohio all went the other way slightly. Add it all up, and Virginia's vote gives Democrats a potential advantage in ten seats nationwide. All of this is likely to face legal challenges, but that's the Swamp's way of ensuring these things go as planned.
Republican lawmakers are screeching about how this threatens Trump's agenda and could lead to impeachments. Frankly, they're right. But maybe, just maybe, they should have fought harder to defend the redistricting commission in the first place. Blame games don't change the reality that the Left outplayed them on their own field.
Ultimately, elections depend on people actually voting. A big enough red wave would render this redistricting nonsense irrelevant. But don't hold your breath. The Left are masters of the GOTV game.
Remember when Trump promised to 'drain the swamp'? This Virginia vote is a reminder that the swamp is deeper and more resilient than anyone imagined. The same establishment Republicans who whine about the Left are the same ones who do nothing about the Left. So grab some popcorn, because the midterms are gonna be a wild ride.
