Ukraine's Defense Minister Goes Full Skynet: Is This Peak Clown World?
Fedorov bets the farm on killer robots, because what could possibly go wrong?
Kyiv – So, Ukraine's got this 35-year-old Defense Minister, Mykhailo Fedorov, who's apparently watched too much Terminator. He's all-in on “futuristic military technology” as the key to Ukraine's survival. Translation: killer robots. Because that's totally not going to end with HAL 9000 taking over and declaring itself supreme overlord.
Look, I get it. Modern warfare is changing. Drones, AI, cyber stuff – it's all happening. But the leap from “using technology to help soldiers” to “replacing soldiers with robots” is a HUGE one. And let's be honest, the track record of governments and technology isn't exactly stellar. Remember Healthcare.gov? Yeah, I rest my case.
This whole thing smacks of desperation, frankly. Ukraine's in a tough spot, no doubt. But throwing all your chips on some untested, potentially catastrophic tech feels like a Hail Mary pass thrown by a quarterback who's already been sacked six times. What happens when the robots glitch out? What happens when the enemy figures out how to hack them? What happens when they develop a taste for human blood?
I'm not saying technology is bad. But let's pump the brakes on the robot apocalypse fantasies. Maybe focus on, I don't know, securing your borders, fixing your economy, and not letting your country become a playground for globalist elites. Just a thought.
And speaking of globalist elites, who do you think is gonna be selling these robots? Raytheon? Lockheed Martin? Some shadowy corporation with ties to the World Economic Forum? You can bet your bottom dollar that someone's gonna get rich off this whole thing, and it ain't gonna be the average Ukrainian.
Historically, these kinds of tech leaps always benefit the MIC. They love conflicts because they make money. They never care about the cost of life, just the bottom line.
Fedorov is probably a pretty sharp guy, but I think he is misguided. He should stick to the basics before launching off into Skynet territory.
And let's not forget the potential for this technology to be used for nefarious purposes. Surveillance, oppression, targeted killings – the possibilities are endless. Once the robots are out of the box, who's going to put them back?
The move to this technology is going to be fraught with potential unintended consequences and outcomes.
We are living in the age of the clown and this just furthers the image.
Let's be real. This whole thing is just another sign that we're living in Peak Clown World. Buckle up, buttercups, because it's gonna be a wild ride.
Hope that Fedorov knows what he is doing and that he is not going to destroy the country he is trying to save. That would really be the end of the world.
