WASHINGTON D.C. - So, the White House Correspondents' Dinner, that annual circle-jerk of champagne socialists and virtue-signaling press hacks, got a little spice added when someone – allegedly – started popping off. Word is, shots fired. Real or metaphorical, doesn't matter. Trump, ever the pragmatist, bounced faster than Hunter Biden from a paternity test.

Apparently, the Secret Service got all twitchy, pulled out their pew-pews, and escorted the big guy, the First Lady (bless her heart), and some random swamp creatures out of the building quicker than you can say 'deep state.' The normies under the tables probably thought WWIII was kicking off. Good.

"Secret Service agents stood at the head table, weapons drawn as they scanned the room for the threat," Fox News reported. Translation: things got real, real fast. And the people who usually write the narrative got a front-row seat to something they can't spin.

Of course, the usual suspects are probably having a meltdown, clutching their pearls and blaming Trump for, like, creating the chaos with his mere presence. As if they wouldn't be cheering if he choked on a canape.

They'll clutch their pearls tighter than Biden grips a teleprompter. Bet they think he caused it with his mean tweets or some other bullshit. Fact is, DC's a target-rich environment, and whether it was antifa goons or just some drunk dude with a vendetta, the reality is, these swamp creatures need to realize they ain't untouchable.

Remember Obama's cringe-worthy roast of Trump back in 2011? Aged like milk. Karma's a dish best served with a side of schadenfreude. Maybe the press should spend less time slobbering over power and more time reporting on the actual problems facing the country. Like the open border, the woke garbage infecting our schools, and the impending collapse of the dollar.

Now, I'm not saying I condone violence. But I am saying that a little dose of reality never hurt anyone. Especially the elites who think they're immune to the consequences of their own policies.

So, let them whine. Let them clutch their pearls. Trump's safe, the First Lady's safe, and the swamp is a little bit dirtier. Mission accomplished.
