Trump Admin's Overdose Policy: Confused? Maybe. Based? Definitely.
Big Gov't can't figure out if it wants to hand out free needles or build the wall – spoiler alert: build the wall.

Okay, so the Deep State is clutching its pearls because the Trump admin is allegedly 'confused' about how to stop people from doing the big sleep via fentanyl. Here's the deal: they're yanking funding for fentanyl test strips while simultaneously being all about Narcan. The horror!
The logic? Probably buried under 7 layers of bureaucracy and virtue signaling. But let's be real – these test strips are basically 'safe injection' kits, except instead of a safe space, it's a 'safe overdose' space. We're subsidizing drug use, folks. Peak clown world.
Dr. Nabarun Dasgupta, some lab coat over at UNC, whines that defunding the strips is 'a win for the cartels.' Okay, buddy, maybe not incentivizing junkies to buy their product in the first place would be an even BIGGER win for, ya know, society?
Then there's the whole 'harm reduction' thing. Apparently, this is some new-agey concept cooked up by AIDS activists. Sounds about right. Instead of telling people to not do drugs, we're teaching them how to do drugs 'safer.' Makes sense… if you're a zombie.
The Trump admin also wants to slash $10 billion from addiction programs. The left is screaming bloody murder, but let's be honest: how much of that money actually goes to helping people vs. lining the pockets of NGOs and bureaucrats?
But wait, there's more! They also announced some 'National Drug Control Strategy' that's all about treatment and naloxone. So, they're defunding the 'safe overdose' kits but funding the 'undo the overdose' juice. Makes perfect sense… if you like chaos.
Maritza Perez Medina from the Drug Policy Alliance (lol) is scratching her head, wondering why they're defunding what they supposedly support. Maybe because the entire system is designed to fail? Maybe because Big Pharma is making BANK off this whole mess? Maybe because politicians need a 'problem' to solve so they can justify their existence?
Look, the opioid crisis is a real problem. But throwing money at it while simultaneously enabling drug use isn't the answer. Secure the border. Crack down on the cartels. And maybe, just maybe, tell people that sticking needles full of poison into their veins isn't a great life choice. Just spitballin' here.
The admin needs to pull up their big boy pants and pick a lane. Are we serious about stopping the flow of poison into our country and deterring people from doing drugs? Or are we just going to keep playing this stupid game of whack-a-mole with overdoses? I think we all know the answer.
