TOTAL COPEDOWN: Boomer Democrats Capitulate to Mamdani's Socialist Brigade in NY Primaries
Establishment Dems get absolutely wrecked as young socialists take over the party and promise to 'run the table.'

It is officially over for the establishment corporate Democrats. In a hilarious display of absolute political collapse, the New York Democratic establishment completely bent the knee to its socialist overlords on Tuesday. Three far-left, DSA-aligned candidates hand-delivered by 34-year-old socialist NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani absolutely steamrolled their moderate counterparts, including two long-time incumbents. The cope in the establishment war rooms is reaching critical mass.
Mayor Mamdani, operating as the undisputed kingmaker of the progressive left, wasted no time taking a victory lap on Wednesday, declaring that "New Yorkers are hungry for a new kind of politics" and hinting that he wants to bring this economic circus to the national stage. His declared goal? "To make America a place that every American can afford."
The most brutal defeat of the night saw 32-year-old democratic socialist community organizer Darializa Avila Chevalier narrowly scalp 71-year-old incumbent Adriano Espaillat. Espaillat, the high-ranking Congressional Hispanic Caucus chair and the first Dominican American elected to the House, was sent packing by a millennial activist who immediately declared her narrow victory a "clear mandate." Out with the old, in with the radical.
Over in New York's 7th District, the blowout was even more embarrassing for the establishment. State Assembly Member Claire Valdez was looking to succeed retiring Rep. Nydia Velazquez. Instead of electing Velazquez's handpicked successor, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, primary voters watched Valdez absolutely dust him by over 20 points. Valdez then delivered a victory speech that sounded like a supervillain monologue, telling her followers that they aren't just looking for a seat at the table anymore—they are going to "run the table."
Meanwhile, the absolute silence from top-tier Democrats has been a sight to behold. When asked about the party lurching into full-blown socialism, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suddenly lost their voices, completely avoiding any direct questions. Their silence is deafening as they watch their own party get hijacked by activists.
Moderate Democrats who aren't completely blind are panicking, sounding the alarm about a massive socialist surge and rampant antisemitism festering within the party. But their warnings are being completely ignored by the new guard. As a GOP spokesman perfectly put it, Tuesday was "the night the Democrat establishment officially surrendered to the socialist wing."
We are now a decade out from Bernie Sanders' 2016 cope-campaign and eight years since AOC shocked the world by taking down Joe Crowley. The transformation is complete. The fringe has become the mainstream, the establishment is in shambles, and the next Congress is about to double its inventory of avowed socialists. Grab your popcorn, because this internal civil war is only getting started.
