Thornton Wilder's 'Emporium' Vanished? Good Riddance, Probably Woke Anyway
Some dude's hunting for a play that flopped harder than Biden's approval rating in '54 – bet it was full of CRT propaganda.

So, apparently, some commie playwright named Thornton Wilder (probably a secret socialist) wrote a play called 'The Emporium' back in the Eisenhower era. Big whoop. It never made it to Broadway. Probably because it sucked. Or maybe it was too 'edgy' for the time – read: woke.
Now, some soyboy is on a 'quest' to find it. A quest! As if there aren't more important things to worry about, like the Deep State and the looming threat of globalist domination. This is peak NPC behavior, folks.
Who cares about some dusty old play? Seriously. It's probably filled with virtue signaling and critical race theory garbage. They want to indoctrinate your kids through theater, people! Wake up!
Maybe it tanked because it was a snooze-fest. Or maybe it was too busy lecturing audiences about their 'privilege.' Either way, the free market spoke. Nobody wanted to see it, and that's capitalism at its finest.
The real mystery is why anyone would waste their time searching for this thing. Get a job! Fix the supply chain! Stop grooming kids! There are actual problems to solve, not imaginary dramas to unearth.
Wilder? More like Mild-er. His plays are probably just boring propaganda disguised as art. Give me Shakespeare any day. At least he knew how to write a decent tragedy without whining about 'systemic oppression'.
This whole 'quest' smells like a grant-funded boondoggle. Some woke academic probably got taxpayer money to 'reclaim' this lost masterpiece. Bet it'll end up being a tedious, self-indulgent mess.
If they ever find this 'Emporium', I bet it'll be worse than Cats. Actually, scratch that. Nothing is worse than Cats. But it'll be close.
Seriously, folks, stop obsessing over irrelevant historical artifacts. Focus on the present. Fight the culture war. Own the libs. And for the love of God, stop funding the arts.
The 'disappearance' of this play is probably a blessing in disguise. The world is better off without another preachy, virtue-signaling piece of theater. Let it rot in obscurity, where it belongs.
So, some commie lost his play. Cry me a river. Back to the salt mines with the woke nonsense! Maybe he can put that in his next play that no one watches.
This is why we can't have nice things. Well, actually, we do have nice things. They just get ruined by the woke mob. Thank God it got canceled though. Would have probably had men in dresses or something anyway.
