Teachers Union Wakes Up, Bans TikTok for Toddlers
AFT finally pulls its head out of the sand, recommends NO SCREENS for the kiddos and AI gets the boot from elementary school (thank God).

WASHINGTON – The American Federation of Teachers (AFT), bless their hearts, has finally stumbled upon the obvious: kids glued to screens are rotting their brains. In a move that's about 20 years too late, the AFT is suggesting 'no screens' for the under-8 crowd (second grade and below). And hold onto your hats, folks, they're also suggesting AI chatbots stay out of elementary schools. Groundbreaking, I know.
Seriously, who needed a union to tell them this? We've all seen the zombie-eyed kids wandering around, unable to form a coherent sentence without consulting TikTok. But hey, better late than never, right? Maybe now little Timmy will learn to read a book instead of just watching some influencer unboxing toys from China.
This whole AI in schools thing was a disaster waiting to happen. You really want your kid getting their history lessons from some chatbot that's probably programmed by a bunch of woke Silicon Valley elites? I'd rather trust Wikipedia, and that's saying something.
Of course, the lefties are gonna cry about how this is some attack on “progress” and how kids need to be “digitally literate” to compete in the 21st century. Newsflash: being able to swipe on an iPad isn't a skill. It's a sign you're raising a future couch potato who's going to blame capitalism for all their problems.
And let's not forget the parents. How many of them are just using screens as babysitters? It's easier to stick a tablet in front of your kid than, you know, actually parenting them. But hey, at least the AFT is finally calling them out on their laziness.
This move by the AFT might not solve all our problems, but it's a step in the right direction. Maybe, just maybe, we can save the next generation from becoming a bunch of screen-addicted, soy-guzzling, virtue-signaling zombies. But don't hold your breath. We still have a long way to go.
Remember when kids used to play outside? Build forts? Read books? Now they just stare at glowing rectangles, drooling on themselves. This is what happens when you let technology run wild without any common sense. So, thank you, AFT, for finally showing some. Now, let's get these kids off TikTok and back into the real world.
It's refreshing to see an institution embrace common sense, even if it's decades overdue. The internet will cry about it, but the long-term implications for child development outweigh the current social media landscape, or lack thereof. Let kids be kids, and keep the Silicon Valley propaganda out of the classroom.
