Sovereignty Go Brrr: Globalist ICC Judges Mad at Trump Sanctions, File Coping Lawsuit
Unelected international bureaucrats are crying foul after getting hit with the ultimate financial reality check for targeting U.S. troops.

It looks like the globalist elites in The Hague have officially reached peak cope. A group of judges and legal activists from the International Criminal Court (ICC) have filed a lawsuit against former President Donald J. Trump, whining that the sanctions slapped on them were "unlawful" and meant to "coerce" their totally unbiased decisions. Translated from legal jargon: they are absolutely seething that the United States decided to protect its own military personnel and allies from a clown-court investigation into alleged war crimes in Afghanistan and Israel.
Let’s look at the facts. Back in June 2020, President Trump looked at the ICC’s attempts to prosecute American soldiers and issued Executive Order 13928. Using the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), he did what any sovereign leader should do: he locked down their bank accounts and revoked their visas. If you’re an international bureaucrat trying to put American soldiers in a foreign cage, you don’t get to spend your vacation in Miami or use the U.S. banking system. Naturally, this sent the globalist class into an absolute tailspin.
The plaintiffs are now arguing in court that these sanctions were a big, mean attempt to bully them. They claim the measures were designed to "punish and coerce" their investigations into U.S. and Israeli personnel. Well, yes. That is exactly what sanctions are for. It's called deterrence, and it’s a standard foreign policy tool. The reality is that the ICC has been trying to flex its nonexistent muscles over non-party states for years, and they finally ran into a president who was willing to flex back.
Historically, the U.S. has always told the ICC to kick rocks. We never ratified the Rome Statute, and in 2002, Congress passed the American Service-Members' Protection Act—frequently and hilariously referred to as the "Hague Invasion Act." That law literally gives the President the green light to use military force to bust out any American troop captured by the ICC. Compared to sending in the Marines, a few frozen bank accounts and visa bans are actually a pretty polite way of saying "mind your own business."
But the globalists just can't accept that they don't rule the world. In their lawsuit, these judges and their lawyers are claiming that Trump's sanctions violated their constitutional rights, including free speech and due process. It’s an interesting legal strategy, considering none of these foreign judges are U.S. citizens, and the Constitution doesn't exactly guarantee international bureaucrats the right to interfere with American foreign policy without consequences. The sheer entitlement of suing the U.S. president because you can't use our banks while trying to indict our troops is truly spectacular.
