Rentoids REEEing: UK Landlords Forcing Begging on GoFundMe
Another day, another leftist sob story about 'housing insecurity' -- time to pull yourselves up by your bootstraps, snowflakes.

The UK is experiencing a 'crisis' of rent affordability, according to the usual suspects. Translation: Commies want free houses, and landlords are the villains. GoFundMe is apparently the new socialist safety net for perpetually broke renters.
GoFundMe claims rent-related fundraisers are up 60% since 2022. Oh, the humanity! Maybe these rent-seekers should consider, I dunno, getting a job? Learning a trade? Stop ordering avocado toast? But nah, easier to virtue signal and beg online.
Some mouth-breather at GoFundMe whined, “We have seen a remarkable surge in people turning to GoFundMe for help keeping a roof over their heads.” Translation: we're profiting handsomely off the incompetence of the perpetually unemployed.
Take Andrew Foster, a 51-year-old from Derby. Blames Brexit for his failing figurine business (sure, Jan). Calls himself a full-time carer for his wife (convenient). Whines about a 50% rent hike. Maybe if he wasn't making tiny statues and sponging off the system, he could afford a place to live.
Then there's Nick Jardine, 56, from Cornwall. Got a free eviction notice, became disabled, and expected the world to foot the bill. Boo hoo. “It was a final-straw situation,” he said. Maybe he should have planned better? Saved more? Instead, he's hitting up the internet for handouts.
Of course, the leftist media is framing this as a 'systemic failure.' No, it's a failure of personal responsibility. Instead of blaming capitalism, maybe these renters should look in the mirror. Get a skill. Get a job. Stop relying on the government and the kindness of strangers.
The left screams about 'housing affordability' and demands rent control. Rent control NEVER works. It discourages new construction and creates shortages. Basic economics, people.
We're told the number of kids living in homeless temporary housing is at a 'record high'. Whose fault is that? Broken families, welfare dependency, and a culture of victimhood. Fix the root causes, not the symptoms.
Housing charities are wringing their hands, demanding more 'discretionary housing payments'. Translation: Give us more of your tax dollars to waste on handouts. Stop enabling this behavior!
Instead of incentivizing failure, let's promote self-reliance, fiscal responsibility, and a strong work ethic. The government is NOT your daddy. The market is NOT your enemy. Time to grow up, rentoids.
