Pope Wokescolds Equatorial Guinea, Ignores Real Problems
Globalist pontiff lectures on 'equality' while Rome burns, yet again.

Mongomo, Equatorial Guinea - Pope Leo, fresh off criticizing Trump and meddling in foreign policy, decided to grace Equatorial Guinea with his presence, wagging his finger at their prison system and income inequality. Because, you know, THAT'S what the Catholic Church should be focusing on, instead of, oh, I don't know, maybe addressing the rampant, decades-long… never mind.
Apparently, the guy gave a Mass attended by a hundred thousand people, including Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, the country’s long-serving president (since 1979, if you’re keeping score). The Pope, channeling his inner Bernie Sanders, bleated about the poor, the families struggling, and the prisoners in “troubling hygienic and sanitary conditions.” Sounds like your average Democrat run city, tbh.
Equatorial Guinea, we’re told, is oil-rich but has a “poor human rights record and vast income inequalities.” Shocking. It’s almost as if central planning and resource mismanagement always lead to corruption and poverty. But hey, let’s blame the West, right? The Pope's been railing against “colonisation” of Africa’s resources for weeks. Someone get this guy a copy of “The Road to Serfdom.”
And naturally, Amnesty International had to get their two cents in, whining about prisoners in Bata prison being “reportedly routinely beaten as punishment.” You know, because prisons are supposed to be luxurious resorts? The Pope himself is scheduled to visit the prison. Probably to give them a participation trophy and a strongly worded letter, the guy’s got clout.
The Pontiff then had the gall to lecture the locals about serving “the common good rather than private interests.” Yeah, because the Vatican is totally a shining example of selfless service and not, you know, a multi-billion-dollar institution dripping in gold. The hypocrisy is truly breathtaking.
Of course, Obiang’s government is accused of “corruption and diverting the country’s oil revenues for the benefit of the elite.” And his son, the vice-president, got nailed in France for using public money to fund a ridiculously lavish lifestyle. But sure, let’s focus on the mote in Equatorial Guinea’s eye while ignoring the beam in the Vatican’s. #Priorities
Even the World Bank gets in on the virtue signaling, claiming “more than half of Equatoguineans live in poverty.” That's the World Bank, the same outfit that insists it can solve poverty by giving countries billions in loans. The fact they haven't solved poverty yet is a sure sign the system doesn't work.
So, the Pope wrapped up his virtue-signaling tour of Africa, leaving a trail of platitudes and unhelpful pronouncements in his wake. Meanwhile, the real problems – socialist economies, corruption, and tyrannical regimes – continue unabated. But hey, at least he got some good press back home with the perpetually outraged crowd.
Maybe next time, he’ll focus on fixing the mess in his own backyard before trying to lecture the rest of the world. Just a thought. #MAGA #Catholicism #Africa #PopeLeo
