He was even helping the CCP locate a pro-democracy activist living in California! Dude's lucky he's only facing 30 years. Back in the day, we'd have tarred and feathered him.

His lawyer’s defense? “He was just helping Chinese nationals who couldn’t travel back to China due to COVID!” Okay, boomer. Try harder. I'm sure there are legitimate ways to help people that don't involve clandestine CCP operations.

The whole thing reeks of Communist chicanery, and it's about time someone got punished for it. Chen Jinping, another CCP lackey arrested alongside Lu, already pleaded guilty. Birds of a feather, amirite?
