Miami-Dade County to Hand Over $400M to Developers for…Fuel Tanks? You Can't Make This Stuff Up
The Swamp strikes again: Miami-Dade County is considering dropping $400 million on Fisher Island land, lining the pockets of developers and probably greasing some political palms.

Okay, folks, buckle up, because this is a doozy. Miami-Dade County, bless their hearts, is apparently about to drop four hundred million taxpayer dollars on a piece of land on Fisher Island. Fisher Island, for those of you who don't know, is where the ultra-rich go to escape, well, us. It's basically a gated community, but with helicopters and yachts instead of minivans. So, what's the genius plan here? The county is considering paying the HRP Group, a bunch of Chicago developers, a cool $400 million for a property they bought for $180 million last year. That's a $220 million profit for doing absolutely nothing. Literally. They haven't even broken ground yet. What's on this magical property? A fuel depot. Yes, you read that right. Fuel tanks. Apparently, these fuel tanks are crucial for Miami's cruise industry, which is a big deal, I guess. The county is freaking out because if the developers build condos there, the cruise ships might have to go somewhere else to refuel. Heaven forbid! This whole thing stinks to high heaven. The developers bought the land knowing about the fuel depot. They knew the county would be desperate to keep the cruise lines happy. It's the oldest trick in the book: buy something strategic, then hold the city hostage. And the county is bending over backward to appease them. It's not like Miami-Dade is overflowing with cash. They could use that $400 million for, you know, actual problems. Like fixing the roads, or maybe helping out the little guy. But no, instead, they're going to hand it over to some developers who are laughing all the way to the bank. And what about eminent domain? Why aren't they seizing the land for the public good? Oh, right, because that would require actually standing up to the wealthy elite. Instead, they're just going to write them a blank check. Wake up, people! This is your money they're throwing away. It's time to drain the swamp, one ridiculous land deal at a time. MAGA, baby! PS - I bet that HRP group are all woke too. It ALWAYS comes back to woke!
