May Day? More Like Mayday, Mayday, Our Economy's Going Down!
Woke commies and perpetually unemployed zoomers are planning another 'day of action' because, you know, capitalism is just, like, so totally unfair, man.

So, the perpetually outraged are at it again. Mark your calendars, snowflakes, because May 1st is gonna be a day of… well, mostly just annoying people trying to get to work. These champions of the proletariat, bless their hearts, are planning a nationwide hissy fit they're calling 'May Day Strong.' Apparently, not working, not shopping, and generally being a nuisance is going to magically solve all the world's problems. Spoiler alert: it won't. It'll just clog up the streets and give normal people a headache.
This year's virtue-signaling extravaganza is brought to you by a coalition of the usual suspects: labor unions (who haven't figured out that most people just want to do their jobs), DSA chapters (still clinging to that Bernie Sanders dream), and various 'pro-democracy' groups like Indivisible (who ironically want to tear down the existing system). Their demands? Oh, you know, the usual: 'workers over billionaires' (because envy is a virtue), 'tax the rich' (because stealing is okay if you call it redistribution), 'ICE out' (because borders are just, like, social constructs, man), 'money for people not wars' (which sounds nice until you realize who's going to pay for it), and 'expanding democracy' (which usually means letting 16-year-olds vote)..
Neidi Dominguez, some executive director of some group no one's ever heard of, said something about needing a national movement that does both 'labor' and 'pro-democracy.' Translation: She wants to unionize the woke mob. Good luck with that.
They're expecting over 3,500 actions across the country. That's a lot of tie-dye and bad decisions. They've even got 'Solidarity School organizing trainings' – basically, indoctrination camps for the terminally woke. The Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) even got May 1st declared a 'day of civic action' in the city. You know, because our schools aren't failing enough already.
Their goal? 'A nationwide day of economic disruption.' So, basically, they want to punish everyone else for their own life choices. Real classy. Apparently, shutting down businesses is going to show how powerful the working class is. Newsflash: the working class is busy, you know, WORKING.
According to some Rutgers professor named Eric Blanc, this isn't a 'general strike.' Apparently, that takes actual effort, and these guys are more into performative activism than actual, you know, work. He says a 'full-on, sustained general strike' would take years to organize. They're aiming for 2028. So, basically, they're admitting they're completely ineffective right now.
