May Day: Commie LARPers Block Traffic, Demand More Free Stuff
Leftist activists take to the streets to whine about 'billionaires' and demand 'equity' – yawn.

Another May Day, another excuse for the perpetually outraged to clog up the streets and virtue signal. This year's theme? 'Billionaires are Bad!' as if creating jobs and wealth is somehow a crime. The irony of these clowns protesting in their iPhones and Nikes is apparently lost on them. These 'May Day Strong' protests are just a continuation of the 'No Kings' tantrum from last year, because apparently mean tweets are worse than actual tyranny.
May Day, for those not terminally online, is basically International Commie Day. It’s the day socialists and assorted flavors of leftists come out to LARP as revolutionaries. Sure, it supposedly started with demands for an 8-hour workday back in the 1800s, but let's be real, these days it's just a pretext for demanding free stuff and blaming 'the system' for their problems. The Fair Labor Standards Act? Thanks, FDR. Now we have a bloated regulatory state and people complaining they don't get paid enough to binge-watch Netflix.
The National Education Association (NEA), the teachers' union that's basically a Democrat Party slush fund, is unsurprisingly leading the charge. NEA President Becky Pringle is whining about 'workers over billionaires,' because apparently success is a zero-sum game. These people genuinely believe that wealth is a finite resource that needs to be 'redistributed.' Never mind the fact that billionaires create jobs and drive innovation.
Organizers are bragging about 500+ groups participating, including the usual suspects like the Sunrise Movement, the perpetually triggered Zoomers who want a 'Green New Deal.' Translation: they want to shut down the economy and force everyone to live in yurts powered by solar panels. Good luck with that, snowflakes.
North Carolina is ground zero for this clown show, with 20 school districts shutting down because teachers are 'striking' to demand more money. Because, you know, educating kids is less important than shaking down taxpayers for more loot. State Senator Amy Galey gets it – this is just a coordinated effort to extort more money from hardworking taxpayers.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education is rolling over and playing dead, canceling school because they're scared of the teachers' union. Nice message to send to the kids: don't bother showing up to work, just demand more money. Bryan Proffitt, some rando teacher union VP, wants 'more investment in public schools, an end to corporate tax cuts, a restoration of our democracy, and the expansion of union rights.' Translation: socialism now!
So, what's the takeaway? It's the same old song and dance. Leftists protesting, demanding free stuff, and blaming billionaires for their problems. Business as usual. Don't expect any actual solutions, just more virtue signaling and traffic jams. Remember, kids: communism looks good on paper, but in practice, it leads to bread lines and gulags. Stay woke, but not that woke.
Honestly, these protests are just performance art at this point. A bunch of cosplaying revolutionaries with zero understanding of economics. But hey, at least it gives them something to do besides doomscrolling on Twitter. Maybe they'll even get some good Instagram content out of it. #Resistance #BillionairesAreEvil #TaxTheRich #EatTheRich (but please, use organic, locally sourced utensils).
