Louisiana Crossing Guard Gets Road Raged by Boomer in DUI Mobile
Another day, another tragedy caused by someone who probably still uses Facebook and thinks Fox News is 'fair and balanced'.

Alright, folks, gather 'round the digital campfire. We got another banger of a story coming out of Louisiana. A beloved crossing guard, bless her heart, got turned into roadkill by a 64-year-old geezer who apparently mistook his car for a beer-fueled rocket.
Katy Wells, the crossing guard, was doing her job, helping the kiddos cross the street near Seventh Ward Elementary School. Enter Darren Goudeau, stage left, driving north on Highway 16, allegedly with a blood alcohol level higher than his age. SPLAT. Rest in peace, Ms. Wells.
Now, the Sheriff, bless his heart, is all torn up about it, saying it's a "tragic loss." No duh, Sheriff. It's tragic when anyone gets killed, especially when they're just trying to keep the little crumb snatchers from becoming hood ornaments.
Goudeau, our alleged perpetrator, is now facing vehicular homicide and second-offense DWI charges. Turns out, he's already got a DUI on his record from 2022. So, he clearly learned his lesson the first time, right? This is what happens when you give participation trophies out and nobody learns a damn thing from their mistakes. Maybe his first offender probation should have included a chauffeur and a breathalyzer interlock?
And of course, the hand-wringing begins. Some pearl-clutcher who lives near the school is whining about cars speeding. "They’ve almost hit us before!" she wails. Maybe invest in a reflective vest and a cattle prod, Karen. Personal responsibility is a thing, last I checked.
But let's get real here. This isn't just about one drunk boomer. It's about a societal problem. It's about the breakdown of personal responsibility. It's about a legal system that's softer than Biden's brain. It's about a culture that glorifies victimhood instead of self-reliance.
Goudeau is being held on a $102,000 bond. That's it? A measly hundred grand for taking a life? I bet he gets off with community service and a stern talking-to. The system is a joke. It always has been. And until we start holding people accountable for their actions, these tragedies will keep happening.
So, what's the solution? Bring back public shaming? Stocks and pillories for drunk drivers? Maybe a good old-fashioned tarring and feathering? I'm just spitballing here. But something's gotta give.
Wake up, people. This isn't just a sad story. It's a symptom of a much larger problem. And until we address the root causes, we're just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. In the meantime, pour one out for Ms. Wells. She deserved better than this garbage society. And remember, don't drink and drive. Unless you’re in a Mad Max Fury Road style Thunderdome scenario, it's never worth it.
