Letitia James Fumes as Soy-Fueled Socialist Invasion Captures New York Democratic Primaries
Rich kids with doormen vote to abolish the police, leaving actual working-class neighborhoods to deal with the fallout.

The New York Democratic Party is currently eating itself alive, and it is absolute cinema. In Tuesday night\'s primary elections, a brigade of socialist candidates backed by far-left Mayor Zohran Mamdani completely steamrolled the party\'s establishment candidates. In total, nine Democratic incumbents—including seven state lawmakers and two congressmen—got absolutely wrecked by Mamdani\'s endorsed candidates. The results have triggered an epic meltdown from Attorney General Letitia James, who is currently fuming over Mamdani\'s massive political glow-up.
Mamdani celebrated the results as a \"new chapter\" for the Democrats, which is political speak for \"we run this town now.\" All three of his endorsed congressional candidates won their primaries, including Brad Lander and Claire Valdez. The swift takeover of the ballot box has left moderate Democrats crying into their lattes, as the radical progressive wing moves from the fringe straight into the driver\'s seat of the local party machine.
Letitia James, who famously spent her energy prosecuting Donald Trump on financial fraud charges, was visibly rattled by Mamdani\'s growing clout. James went on CNN to cope, claiming that Mamdani\'s candidates don\'t understand New York City politics or cultural differences, and haven\'t been part of the \"struggle.\" She declared herself and other party elites \"disappointed\" in the Mayor. It turns out that when you spent years cultivating a radical base, they eventually turn around and vote you out of your own cozy establishment jobs.
The absolute peak of this ideological comedy played out in New York’s 13th Congressional District, where Mamdani-endorsed graduate student Darializa Avila Chevalier defeated long-time incumbent Representative Adriano Espaillat. The demographic breakdown of the vote is a work of art: Espaillat completely dominated the lower-income and majority-Black precincts. Meanwhile, Chevalier won by carrying the areas filled with wealthy, college-educated young transplants. Yes, the socialist revolution in Harlem is being funded and voted for by trust-fund kids who just moved here.
Even traditional Democratic operatives are starting to lose their minds over this. One operative told the New York Post that the DSA is pulling a gentrification scam in Harlem to hijack the community\'s actual priorities. The operative did not hold back, calling the DSA\'s platform of abolishing the police and releasing violent criminals—including rapists and murderers—plain \"nuts.\" As the operative pointed out, the rich kids living in buildings with doormen aren\'t the ones who will suffer when the neighborhood goes to absolute ruin; it\'s the working-class people of color who actually have to live there.
Conservative commentator Rachel Bovard pointed out the obvious national implications: this radical circus is no longer a fringe movement. These are people who literally want to abolish the U.S. Senate and the Supreme Court, and they are rapidly becoming the actual Democratic establishment. As the radical left continues to replace working-class voters with wealthy, hyper-progressive transplants, the Democratic Party is transforming into a coalition of high-society elites pushing policies that actively destroy the very communities they claim to protect.
