Lefty Meltdown: ABC Cries 'Political Targeting' After Trump's FCC Actually Does Its Job
The View gets a taste of accountability, triggering pearl-clutching and accusations of 'fascism' from Disney's legal team.

Washington D.C. – ABC, purveyor of woke propaganda and home to the screeching harpies of 'The View,' is having a major cope session. The FCC, under the lingering influence of Trump-era common sense, is daring to hold them accountable, and the Left is losing its collective mind.
Lawyers for KTRK-TV, ABC's Houston affiliate, are claiming the FCC is engaging in “political retaliation” because, apparently, investigating potential violations of equal time rules is now considered a threat to democracy. Translation: they're used to getting away with whatever they want.
The supposed crime? 'The View,' in its infinite wisdom, decided to shill for a Texas Senate candidate, James Talarico, without offering the same platform to his opponents. Shocking, I know, that a show known for its nuanced political analysis might have a slight bias.
ABC's defense is that 'The View' qualifies as a “bona fide” news program. Right, and I’m the Emperor of Japan. It’s a daytime talk show where aging celebrities and professional outrage merchants trade hot takes and virtue signal to their heart's content.
The legal filing is pure comedy gold. They argue that the equal time doctrine is “outdated” because everyone gets their news from Twitter and TikTok now. Which, okay, fair point, but that doesn't excuse blatant favoritism.
They even claim that enforcing equal time rules would “restrict political coverage” because broadcasters would be too scared to feature any candidates at all. The level of self-pity is truly astounding.
But wait, there's more! Disney, ABC's parent company, is also under the microscope for its DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) practices. Apparently, promoting discriminatory hiring policies based on race and gender isn't sitting well with the FCC. Who knew?
Chairman Carr, bless his heart, cited the DEI investigation as grounds for demanding ABC apply early for license renewals. The outrage from the left is palpable. They’re used to getting a free pass for pushing woke ideology, and now they're being asked to play by the same rules as everyone else.
Predictably, a gaggle of virtue-signaling Democratic senators has rushed to ABC's defense, decrying Carr's actions as an attack on free speech. Because, of course, enforcing regulations is literally fascism now.
