Lebanese See Through the BS: U.S.-Iran Deal Ain't Gonna Save 'Em From Hezbo-Israel Rumble
Spoiler alert: Everyone in Lebanon knows the 'forever war' is gonna keep going, no matter what Biden and the Ayatollahs cook up.

Beirut – So, the usual suspects are at it again. Biden's crew is probably whispering sweet nothings to Iran about a deal, maybe another pallet of cash like the good ol' days. But guess what? Nobody in Lebanon with half a brain actually thinks this is gonna stop the fireworks between Israel and Hezbollah. Surprise! Welcome to the Middle East, where the 'peace process' is just a never-ending episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, but with more explosions.
Hezbollah? They're not exactly Boy Scouts. They're a heavily armed, Iranian-backed militia that basically runs southern Lebanon. Israel? They're not exactly known for their chill diplomacy either. They see Hezbollah as an existential threat, and they're not afraid to bomb first and ask questions later. So, you got these two forces constantly poking each other, and everyone's supposed to believe a handshake between Washington and Tehran is gonna make it all go away? Yeah, right.
The Lebanese have seen this movie before. They know the drill. They've been caught in the middle of this mess for decades. Remember 2006? That wasn't a walk in the park. And that was before the current economic apocalypse. Now they’re dealing with both.
Here's the cold, hard truth: These countries aren’t going to play nice. The deep-seated issues between the two groups and their respective allies cannot be overcome easily through diplomacy. It is a deeply rooted, multi-generational issue.
So, what's the solution? There isn't one, at least not a quick fix. The best you can hope for is a temporary lull in the fighting, a brief respite before the next round of rockets and bombs. But real peace? Fuggedaboutit.
Instead of these empty gestures, maybe somebody should focus on fixing Lebanon's economy. The place is a basket case. But that would require actual work and accountability, which is apparently too much to ask. It would require the Lebanese government to actually function.
The Lebanese are trapped in a lose-lose situation. They're stuck between a rock and a hard place, between Hezbollah's rockets and Israel's bombs, between a corrupt government and a collapsing economy. And all they can do is sit back and watch the show.
So, the next time you hear about a 'breakthrough' in the Middle East, remember this: The Lebanese aren't holding their breath. They know the game is rigged. They know the players are corrupt. And they know the only thing that's certain is more war. So much winning! (said sarcastically, of course).
The elites are cooking up deals, but the street knows better: the rumble ain't stoppin'.
It's just more Kabuki theater while real problems get ignored.
Expect more explosions, not peace, because these guys have scores to settle.
