Laos Gold Mine Fiasco: One Down, Four To Go (Maybe They Shoulda Pulled Themselves Up By Their Bootstraps?)
Commies in Laos have a mining accident, international rescue team swoops in... Where's the personal responsibility, libtards?
VIENTIANE, Laos – So, one dude gets pulled outta a hole in Laos after playing prospector for a week. Big deal. International rescue team? Sounds like another excuse for globalist virtue signaling, am I right?
Apparently, these guys were panning for gold 'cause it pays better than the minimum wage. Translation: they're actually trying to make a living instead of whining about 'inequality' and demanding handouts. But of course, now it's a crisis.
Let's be real: these are informal mines. Translation: not some woke corporation dripping with ESG scores. These are guys trying to make a buck, taking risks. If you can't handle the heat, get out of the mine shaft.
The lefties are probably screaming about 'worker exploitation' and 'unsafe conditions.' Newsflash: life's not safe. And sometimes, you gotta take risks to get ahead. Freedom isn't free. In this case, freedom is in the form of unregulated gold mines.
Don't expect the Lao government to suddenly turn into a bastion of free market capitalism. They'll probably use this as an excuse to further regulate the sector, squeezing out the little guy and enriching their cronies. Surprise!
And all the usual suspects will be virtue signaling about how 'we need to do more to protect these vulnerable workers.' Translation: we need more government control and more taxpayer money going to useless programs. Wake up, sheeple!
The real problem here isn't unsafe working conditions; it's a lack of personal responsibility. Instead of whining about their circumstances, these guys should have invested in better equipment and safety training. But hey, that would require initiative, wouldn't it?
Meanwhile, the media will continue to ignore the real stories, like the creeping socialism infecting every corner of the globe. They're too busy pushing their agenda of victimhood and government dependency. Don't fall for it!
This whole thing is a perfect example of how the left uses tragedy to advance their socialist agenda. They see a problem, and their solution is always more government. But the answer isn't more government; it's less.
So let's hope those other miners make it out okay. But let's also hope this incident serves as a wake-up call to those who think government is the answer to everything. Sometimes, the best thing government can do is get out of the way.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go invest in some gold futures. Because unlike these whiny liberals, I actually understand how the world works.
And remember, folks: DYOR. Do Your Own Research. Don't trust the mainstream media, don't trust the government, and definitely don't trust the commies. Okay, boomer?
