Iran's Gonna Iran, Vietnam's Gig Workers Pay the Price: Thanks, Brandon!
Strait of Hormuz goes brrr, diesel prices go *even more* brrr, and the only ones hurting are the little guys in Vietnam. Thanks, Obama Biden!

HANOI – So, Iran's being Iran again, messing around in the Strait of Hormuz like a cat playing with a yarn ball made of dynamite. The result? Diesel prices in Vietnam have doubled. Doubled! And who gets screwed? The gig workers, the delivery guys, the Grab drivers – the folks just trying to make an honest buck.
Remember when gas was cheap? Good times. Now, every time some Ayatollah sneezes, your Banh Mi delivery costs extra. Thanks, [insert current administration]. This is what happens when you try to appease tyrants instead of telling them to pound sand.
These Vietnamese gig workers are basically independent contractors, which means they're responsible for all their expenses, including, you guessed it, FUEL. Now that fuel costs twice as much, they're basically working for scraps. No benefits, no safety net, just pure, unadulterated capitalism… except when global events intervene and remind you that capitalism ain't always sunshine and rainbows.
The Strait of Hormuz is like the world's oil artery, and Iran's got its finger on the pulse. They can squeeze it whenever they feel like flexing their muscles, and the whole world feels the pinch. Especially places like Vietnam, which rely on imported fuel.
What's the solution? Well, short of invading Iran and taking over their oil fields (tempting, I know), there's not much Vietnam can do in the short term. Maybe subsidize fuel for gig workers? But that's just a band-aid on a gaping wound. Long term, they need to diversify their energy sources and become less reliant on foreign oil. Good luck with that, though, considering the current global climate agenda.
Meanwhile, the elites in their air-conditioned offices will pontificate about climate change while these gig workers are struggling to feed their families. It's always the little guy who pays the price for the big guys' geopolitical games.
So next time your food delivery is late, don't blame the driver. Blame Iran. Blame the [insert political party in power]'s weak foreign policy. Blame the globalists who want to shut down all the oil wells. But most of all, blame the system that leaves these gig workers so vulnerable in the first place.
Remember when a family could live on a single income? Now, even two incomes is barely enough because of all this bullsh*t. Wake up, sheeple! This is all connected!
The gig economy was supposed to be the future. Freedom! Flexibility! Now it's just another way for the rich to get richer while the poor get poorer. And don't even get me started on inflation...
Maybe these gig workers should start a GoFundMe. Or maybe they should just move to Texas and start fracking. Either way, something's gotta give.
In the meantime, I'm gonna order some Pho and tip extra. Because at least I can do something.
