Hollywood Elites Triggered: Iranian Director Spits Truth About Regime at Cannes
Asghar Farhadi drops a truth bomb on the virtue-signaling elites at Cannes, daring to criticize the Iranian regime while they sip champagne and pretend to care.

CANNES, FRANCE – Another day, another virtue-signaling circle jerk at the Cannes Film Festival. But this time, things got a little spicy. Iranian director Asghar Farhadi, the guy who keeps winning awards while the woke mob pats themselves on the back for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), decided to go off-script. He called out the Iranian regime for, get this, killing people. I know, shocking. The usual suspects in Hollywood probably choked on their canapés.
Farhadi, promoting his new flick 'Parallel Tales' – probably about rich people problems, let's be real – dropped a hammer on the heads of the champagne socialists. 'One was the death of a number of innocent people, children, members of the civilian population who died in the war,' he said, you know, the war that’s been going on for a while now. 'Before that, we had the death of a number of demonstrators, people who went to the street to protest, and they were equally innocent. These two events are extremely painful and will never be forgotten.'
So, basically, he’s saying that murdering your own citizens is bad. Groundbreaking stuff, I know. But the sheer audacity of saying this in front of a bunch of celebrities who probably think “Iran” is a type of gluten-free bread is hilarious. The mental gymnastics they must be performing to reconcile their support for “oppressed” groups with the brutal reality of the Iranian regime is truly something to behold.
He even had the gall to say, 'To express one’s indignation in the face of the death of innocent people in the bombing doesn’t mean one is in favour of the executions and death of protesters. Similarly, to feel empathy for people who were shot during demonstrations doesn’t mean you can’t feel empathy for those who died in the bombings.' Translation: 'You can condemn all violence, you hypocrites!' The absolute madman!
Of course, this probably won't change anything. Hollywood will continue to pat itself on the back for its “progressive” values while simultaneously ignoring the real-world consequences of their political posturing. Farhadi will keep winning awards, and the Iranian regime will keep doing Iranian regime things. But at least someone had the balls to say it out loud. And for that, we salute him. Maybe next time, he can drop some red pills about China.
So next time you see a celebrity droning on about social justice, remember Asghar Farhadi and the uncomfortable truth he brought to Cannes. Remember that the woke narrative is a carefully constructed facade, and that dissent, even from within, can expose the hypocrisy lurking beneath the surface. Stay frosty, folks.
