Hantavirus Victims Need Therapy? What About Personal Responsibility, Snowflake?
Shrinks bleating about 'psychosocial support' after hantavirus on the MV Hondius, but where's the bootstraps mentality?
So, some folks got the hantavirus on the MV Hondius. Now some head-shrinker named David Cates is whining about 'psychosocial support.' Seriously? Last I checked, America was built on grit, not group therapy sessions and participation trophies.
Look, nobody wants to get hantavirus. It sucks. Rodent diseases are not awesome. But instead of demanding a hug and a safe space, maybe these folks should toughen up. What happened to personal responsibility? What happened to sucking it up and getting on with your life?
Of course, the usual suspects are jumping on this to push their woke agenda. 'Oh, it's a public health crisis! We need more government funding! We need to address systemic inequalities!' Give me a break. This is a virus, not a social justice issue.
Hantavirus is a thing, but seriously. If I was exposed on a cruise ship, you know what I'd be doing? Probably buying a whole lotto tickets, getting some steaks on the grill, and getting back to work.
Besides, maybe if these people had been spending less time virtue signaling on social media and more time reading a damn book on survival skills, they wouldn't need so much 'psychosocial support.'
This whole situation is just another example of the left's obsession with victimhood. They want to turn everyone into a helpless, dependent snowflake who needs the government to wipe their tears. Pathetic.
What we really need is a good dose of old-fashioned American self-reliance. Pull yourself up by your bootstraps, buck up, and deal with it. And maybe invest in some serious rodent control.
The constant hand-wringing and demands for 'psychosocial support' are just weakening our country. It's time to stop coddling people and start expecting them to be responsible for their own lives. It's time to make America great again, one tough decision at a time.
If they just want free therapy, maybe they should have thought about that before getting on a potentially rodent-infested cruise ship. Just saying.
Maybe instead of government-funded therapy, they could volunteer and work it off instead.
In conclusion, the whole hantavirus thing on the MV Hondius is just another excuse for the left to push their socialist agenda. Time to man up, America. No participation trophies in real life.
