Alright, so the Deep State (USCIS, DHS – same difference) just dropped a bomb on the 'adjust status' grift. Turns out, if you're here on a tourist visa and suddenly decide you want to be a 'permanent temporary' resident (that's what a green card is, folks), you gotta go back home and apply like everyone else. No more cutting in line.

They're calling it a 'policy memo.' I call it common sense. The DHS, which is supposed to keep us safe from, you know, foreigners, finally figured out that letting everyone waltz in and then whine their way to a green card wasn't exactly secure. "An alien who is in the US temporarily and wants a Green Card must return to their home country to apply," they said. Based.

The usual suspects are losing their minds. "Think of the mixed-status families!" they shriek. "What about the poor, abused, and neglected children?" Spare me. If you're here illegally, maybe you shouldn't be dragging your kids into it. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Some Cato Institute 'analyst' (probably funded by Soros) is saying over a million people are waiting for green cards. Good. Let 'em wait. Maybe they should have followed the rules in the first place. Rules for thee, but not for me, right? Wrong.

HIAS, some 'aid group' for refugees (read: future Democrat voters), is whining that this forces people to go back to 'dangerous countries.' If it's so dangerous, why are they suddenly so eager to go back for a green card? Something doesn't add up.

This is just another brick in the wall that Trump's building around the Swamp. Sure, it's been a long time coming, but better late than never. The Left has been trying to flood the country with cheap labor and future voters for decades. Looks like someone finally decided to push back.

And let's not forget the other stuff they've been doing. Shortening student visas, revoking visas for the undesirables… it's all part of the plan to Make America Great Again. One less loophole, one less reason for people to sneak in. It's not rocket science, people. It's just basic border security.

So, to all the green card hopefuls who thought they could game the system: enjoy your trip home! Don't let the door hit you on the way out. And maybe, just maybe, next time, try doing things the right way.
