Globalist Miliband Wants 'Separate Bedrooms' for US and Europe – Translation: Europe Needs a Bigger Allowance
Former UK Foreign Secretary suggests Europe needs 'strategic autonomy' – code for more gibs from Uncle Sam without the pesky accountability.

HAY-ON-WYE, WALES – So, Davos attendee David Miliband, fresh from hobnobbing with the elites, thinks Europe and the US need “separate bedrooms” but not a “divorce.” Translation: Europe wants to play grown-up and make its own 'strategic' decisions while still mooching off American taxpayers. Classic.
Miliband, who now runs the International Rescue Committee (probably funded by Soros, just saying), trotted out the usual globalist talking points at the Hay literary festival. He’s all about “strategic autonomy” for Europe, which apparently means ditching Trump-era “America First” policies and going back to the good old days of lecturing us about climate change while buying gas from Russia.
The “separate bedrooms” analogy is peak cringe. It’s like when your deadbeat cousin wants his own apartment but still expects you to pay his rent. Miliband even joked that Europe needs “separate bank accounts.” Yeah, so they can funnel money into woke NGOs and fund more gender studies programs, right?
He whined about Europe needing “agency” on the economy and military. Tough s*, Dave. Maybe if Europe spent less on socialized healthcare and more on defense, they wouldn’t be so reliant on the US. But no, they’d rather virtue signal about “peace” while we foot the bill for NATO.
Speaking of defense, Miliband complained about having to choose between American and European fighter jets. Newsflash: American jets are better. Deal with it. And don’t even get me started on AI. Europe’s so busy regulating everything that they’ll be left in the dust by China and the US.
Then there’s the climate nonsense. Miliband wants Europe to lead on climate change, even if America is “going into reverse.” Right, because windmills and virtue signaling are going to stop China from building a new coal plant every week. It’s all about feeling good, not actually solving problems.
Writer Philippe Sands chimed in, saying the UK-US relationship is “one-way.” No duh. We’ve been propping up Britain since World War II. And now they want to lecture us about Brexit? Get real.
Misha Glenny, some BBC talking head, said Brexit was “catastrophic.” Yeah, catastrophic for the globalist elites who lost control of Britain. The rest of us are doing just fine, thanks.
Miliband called for a “national consensus” on rejoining the EU. Because what Britain needs is more unelected bureaucrats in Brussels telling them what to do. That worked out so well last time.
