FCC vs. The View: Is This Show Even 'News,' or Just Another Lib Rag?
Trump's FCC takes aim at ABC's 'The View,' asking the question we've all been thinking: Is this leftist gabfest REALLY news?

NEW YORK — Buckle up, buttercups, because the culture war just got a whole lot funnier. The Trump administration's FCC is finally calling out ABC's “The View” on its blatant BS, questioning whether this gaggle of screeching harpies should even qualify as “news.” I mean, c'mon, is anyone actually surprised?
This whole thing started when the FCC decided to revisit whether “The View” should be exempt from equal time rules. Translation: If they give one candidate airtime, they gotta give the other side the same. News programs get a pass, but is “The View” REALLY news? I think we all know the answer to that one.
Brendan Carr, the FCC chairman (and, dare I say, a hero of the silent majority), has hinted that he's gonna argue “The View” ain't no bona fide news program. And honestly, who can blame him? It's basically a daytime soap opera with occasional political hot takes designed to trigger conservatives.
ABC is throwing a hissy fit, naturally, claiming the Trump admin is trying to “chill free speech.” Oh, please. This is about holding them accountable for their blatant bias. The swamp is so deep, it's practically subterranean at this point. The same network will gladly platform misinformation and push a narrative that aligns with the radical left. Free speech? More like free for all with no accountability.
Their filing whines about how the FCC's actions threaten decades of settled law and practice. Settle down, snowflakes. This isn't about silencing anyone, it's about applying the rules fairly. Remember that time the Left shut down Milo Yiannopoulos for his views? Or any conservative speaker on a college campus? Crickets.
Of course, this is just the latest skirmish in the ongoing war between Trump and the media. Remember the Pentagon vs. The New York Times? The White House vs. The Associated Press? Trump vs. The Wall Street Journal? It's a never-ending battle for truth and justice (and also, you know, ratings).
ABC's argument is that “The View” has been operating under a news exemption for 20+ years. So what? Just because you've been getting away with something for a long time doesn't make it right. They also whine about how the media landscape has changed, with podcasts and social media and whatnot. Yeah, and those platforms are full of even MORE biased garbage, so what's your point?
Here's the deal: “The View” is entertainment. It's political commentary. It's a bunch of ladies yelling at each other about Trump. It's definitely NOT objective journalism. And if the FCC has the balls to call them on it, then good for them.
This whole thing could have huge implications for other shows that try to blur the line between entertainment and news. Maybe it'll finally force these networks to actually report the news instead of just pushing their own agenda. One can only hope. The current state of the media is the equivalent of an episode of Jerry Springer. It's a disgrace to journalism and has become nothing more than a propaganda arm for whichever side funds them.
So, grab some popcorn and watch the fireworks. This is gonna be good. And remember, kids: always question everything. Especially the “news.”
