Eurocrats Throw Tantrum Over Israel's Based Death Penalty Law: Observer Status on the Line!
Council of Europe snowflake melts down over the idea of terrorists facing consequences. Get woke, go broke, amirite?

Alright, folks, buckle up because the globalist clowns are at it again. Israel, fresh off passing a death penalty law for Palestinian terrorists (based!), is now getting side-eyed by the Council of Europe – that delightful band of unelected bureaucrats who think they know better than everyone else.
Apparently, according to one Petra Bayr (who? exactly), the president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE, because acronyms make everything sound important), not offing terrorists is like, a “requirement” for observer status. Translation: if you're not letting the dudes who want to wipe you off the map run wild, you're not playing nice.
Let's break this down. Israel, a country perpetually under threat, decides that maybe, just maybe, the best way to deter future suicide bombings and stabbings is to actually punish the perpetrators with something more than a stern talking to. And the Council of Europe's response? “Oh no, you can't do that! You might hurt their feelings!”
This death penalty law, for those who haven't been paying attention, applies to Palestinians convicted of, you know, deadly attacks in military courts. Seems reasonable, right? But apparently, even a “non-discriminatory death penalty” is a “no-go” for these geniuses. So, basically, they're cool with terrorists as long as everyone gets equally blown up, I guess.
Of course, there's always the handy-dandy caveat that Jewish Israelis are basically immune to this whole death penalty thing, because, you know, they're actually trying to protect their country. The law only applies to murder committed with the “intent to deny the existence of the state of Israel.” So, if you just murder someone for funsies, you're probably good. But try to take down the whole shebang? Sayonara.
Now, the Knesset (that's the Israeli parliament, for you normies) has had observer status at the Council of Europe since 1957. But apparently, killing terrorists is worse than, say, annexing Crimea (remember Russia? They got the boot for that) or, I don't know, letting your economy collapse under the weight of socialist policies.
And because the world is a dumpster fire, this isn't even the first time Israel's been in the hot seat with these guys. Apparently, they're also being nagged about “international humanitarian law” in Gaza, because starving terrorists is, like, totally a war crime. Never mind the rockets they keep launching at civilian targets. Priorities, people!
