Elon Musk Trolls UK Politics, Chaos Ensues: Right Wing BTFO'd in Makerfield?
Space Karen chimes in on a random UK by-election, and the right-wing freakout is *chef's kiss*.

Makerfield, Greater Manchester – Hold onto your crumpets, because Elon Musk just dropped a truth bomb (or maybe just a dank meme?) into the middle of a UK by-election. Andy Burnham is trying to nab a seat, Reform UK is huffing copium, and Rupert Lowe's "Restore Britain" is out here LARPing as the Second Coming of Thatcher – and Musk just gave them a retweet. The libs are seething, the boomers are confused, and the chuds are having a field day.
The whole thing started when Lowe, fresh off his breakup with Nigel Farage (it's like a RomCom for Brexiters), started his own party. Restore Britain sounds like a rebrand of the Empire, tbh. Their platform is basically "deport everyone who isn't lily-white and bring back hanging," because nuance is for cucks. They're even pushing the "remigration" thing -- which, lets be honest, is just saying the quiet part out loud.
And then, for reasons only known to his galaxy-brain, Musk retweeted Lowe. Cue the meltdown. Nigel Farage is malding on TV, accusing Musk of trying to "split the right." (Spoiler alert: it's already split, Nigel. You guys are fighting like cats in a burlap sack.) Meanwhile, Labour is probably sipping champagne, because nothing helps the left like the right imploding in spectacular fashion. This is better than the latest season of House of Cards.
Restore Britain is being run by Scott Benton, a former Tory who got the boot for being a bit too honest about lobbying. Turns out, when you're willing to sell your soul for a few quid, the public tends to notice. The Reform UK goons are calling him a disgrace, which is rich, considering half their party is made up of ex-Tories who realized the Lib Dems are just cucked Tories.
But here's the real kicker: Lowe wants to ship all the immigrants to a midge-infested island. That's right, folks, we're talking about mosquito Guantanamo. Rebecca Shepherd, Lowe's candidate, looked like she wanted to yeet herself into the nearest canal when he said it. Maybe she just realized she signed up to be a prop in a Benny Hill sketch.
Anyway, the whole thing is hilarious. Musk is just yanking everyone's chain, and the UK political establishment is losing its collective mind. The polls show Labour ahead, but with the right wing eating itself alive, anything could happen. Maybe Lowe will win. Maybe Burnham will win. Maybe a giant meteor will obliterate Makerfield and put us all out of our misery. At this point, it's all equally likely.
