Dirt Detectives Find Bone Fragments at Flores Family Dig Site: Still No Sign of Kristin Smart (LOL)
Another chapter in the never-ending Kristin Smart saga: Did they FINALLY find something, or is this another nothingburger?

Arroyo Grande, CA – So, remember Paul Flores, the dude who allegedly turned Kristin Smart into fertilizer back in '96? Well, the cops are still digging around his family's property like they're auditioning for 'The Mole 2.0'. This time, they found…wait for it…POTENTIAL human remains. Groundbreaking stuff.
On May 7, 2026, some eggheads in lab coats descended on the Arroyo Grande residence linked to Paul's mom, Susan Flores, and started poking around in the dirt. San Luis Obispo county sheriff, Ian Parkinson, held a press conference to announce…something. “We can’t call it Kristin, but there’s evidence to support human remains – there at one time,” he mumbled. Translation: They found some old bone chips. Maybe it's Kristin, maybe it's Rover, who knows?
Kristin Smart, bless her heart, went missing from California Polytechnic State University back when dial-up internet was still a thing. The official narrative is that Flores tried to get a little too handsy, and things went south. He was the last one seen with her, which, let's be honest, isn't a great look.
Fast forward to 2021, and Flores and his pops, Ruben, get slapped with cuffs. The prosecution claimed Ruben turned his property into a makeshift burial ground before relocating the body. Ruben walked, but Junior got nailed in 2022 with a 25-to-life sentence. Justice? Maybe. Closure? Still waiting.
In 2024, some judge decided Flores owes the Smart family over $350,000 for their trouble. That'll buy a lot of tissues, but it won't bring Kristin back.
Now, back to the latest episode of 'As the World Turns… into a Crime Scene.' Turns out, some podcast called 'Your Own Backyard' helped crack the case by, like, talking to people. So, props to the citizen journalists for doing what the cops couldn't for decades.
Parkinson is begging for patience. “Until we have Kristin, everything is still wide open,” he whined. Yeah, we get it. You've been searching for her longer than most Millennials have been alive. Maybe invest in better shovels?
Bottom line: The Kristin Smart saga continues. Will they ever find her remains? Who knows. But one thing's for sure: this case has more twists and turns than a politician's moral compass.
