Comrade Putin Sends Love: RAF Jet Gets 'Special' GPS Upgrade Near Mother Russia
UK Defense Sec gets a taste of Russian hospitality; turns out GPS isn't invincible, who knew?

So, get this: UK Defence Secretary John Healey's RAF jet got a little… interrupted… on its way back from hanging out with British troops in Estonia. Seems someone near Russia decided to give their GPS a complimentary jamming session. Three whole hours, baby! Suddenly, those fancy Western gadgets ain't so tough, eh?
Healey, bless his heart, was meeting with the Estonian Minister of Defence to talk about expanding their defense stuff. Meanwhile, Putin's crew was busy playing hide-and-seek with the satellites. Talk about sending a message, lol. And no doubt the woke journos onboard were unable to post to Instagram and do their important social media things because the internet died – tragic.
Remember that RAF spy plane incident over the Black Sea? Yeah, Russian jets got real close. Like, personal space invaders close. The MoD called it the most dangerous thing since that missile thing back in '22. Russia's basically saying, 'Come at us, bro'… but with fighter jets.
Then there was that time Grant Shapps (remember him?) had his GPS zapped near Russia back in '24. It's like they have a 'Jam the West' button in Moscow and they just can't resist pushing it.
Healey, of course, had to say the usual tough-guy stuff: 'This won't deter us!' Sure, Jan. But maybe it'll make them think twice about flying so close to Vlad's backyard without packing some serious counter-jamming tech. Or maybe not. What do I know?
So, what's the takeaway? GPS is fallible. Russia's still flexing. And Western politicians pretending everything's fine are probably full of it. Get ready for the next 'unprecedented' escalation!
But hey, at least everyone on board was "safe". No mention of the psychological damage of having their technological crutches ripped away, though. Next thing you know they will have to use paper maps and sextants. Imagine the horror!
Also, the Rivet Joint spy plane that was harassed recently, is apparently capable of "a wide range of electronic surveillance at a ranges of about 150 miles". So, no, it probably wasn't just admiring the scenery. And Russia probably knew exactly what it was doing when it decided to mess with it. All according to plan!
Maybe it's time to stop pretending that Russia is a rational actor and start treating them like the rogue state they clearly are. But what do I know, I'm just a humble internet commenter.
