Colombia: Staffers Get Got, Election's a Clown Show
Rights office cries about 'political rights' – as if anyone cares when folks are getting ventilated.

BOGOTA, Colombia – Two campaign schlubs in Colombia just bought the farm, right before the 'all-important' May election. The usual suspects are wringing their hands, with the “rights office” (lol) bleating about how this “violence” might “hinder the exercise of political rights.” As if anyone in Colombia gives a flying flamingo about political rights when they're dodging bullets and trying to feed their families. Welcome to Thunderdome, snowflakes.
Petro’s riding off into the sunset, leaving behind a dumpster fire of economic woes and rampant crime. And now this. Guess those 'peace deals' with the commie guerrillas didn't quite pan out, huh? Shocker. The swamp runs deep in Colombia, and it's gonna take more than a few virtue-signaling NGOs to drain it.
Remember when everyone was swooning over Petro, the 'leftist hope'? Yeah, well, hope and $2.75 will get you a small coffee. Now Colombia's staring down the barrel of another election, probably rigged, definitely corrupt, and absolutely guaranteed to solve none of its actual problems. Just a different set of grifters at the trough.
The rights office is worried? Boo hoo. Maybe they should try living in the real world for five minutes, instead of pontificating from their ivory towers. This whole situation is basically the 'This is Fine' meme, except the dog is on fire and also has a price on its head.
Colombia’s been a mess for decades, and a couple of dead staffers aren't exactly moving the needle. It’s a never-ending cycle of violence, corruption, and political theater. Pass the popcorn.
So, what's the takeaway? Colombia's gonna Colombia. The election will be a farce. The rights office will issue strongly worded statements. And life will go on, as chaotic and unpredictable as ever. Maybe someone should just nuke the whole country and start over. Just kidding... mostly.
Seriously though, how much worse can it get? Don't answer that. We all know the universe loves a challenge.
This isn't a call to action. It's a call to apathy. Embrace the void. Lower your expectations. And maybe invest in some good body armor.
