Clown World: Rogue Obama Judge Blocks Based Trump Order to Keep Noncitizens Off the Voter Rolls
Judge Talwani steps in to save the day for ballot harvesters, proving once again that the swamp will do anything to stop common-sense election security.

Just when you thought the deep state couldn't get any more predictable, a rogue Obama-appointed judge has stepped in to block President Trump’s executive order to clean up the voter rolls. U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani ruled on Thursday that the President doesn't have the magic power to secure our elections, claiming that only Congress and the states can do that. It’s the classic judicial activism playbook: wait for the administration to pass a common-sense security measure, then find a liberal judge in Massachusetts to shut it down right before the November 3 midterm elections.
The whole drama is over Executive Order (EO) 14248, which Trump dropped back in March. The order was simple: it directed the feds to make a master federal voter registration list and told the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) that they can only deliver mail-in ballots to actual, verified voters on that list. You’d think making sure ballots only go to legal, living citizens would be a no-brainer. But in clown world, keeping noncitizens off the voter rolls is apparently a constitutional crisis.
Unsurprisingly, California Attorney General Rob Bonta led a coalition of 23 blue states, along with the District of Columbia and the usual suspect "voting rights" NGOs, to file a lawsuit. They ran to Judge Talwani, an Obama appointee who has been holding down her seat on the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts since 2014. Talwani did exactly what they wanted, issuing an injunction that stops the USPS ballot delivery checks dead in their tracks.
But the White House isn’t backing down. White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson told Fox News Digital that they are ready for the fight. "President Trump is committed to ensuring that Americans have full confidence in the administration of our elections. The President’s executive order lawfully protects our elections, and we are confident that we will ultimately prevail in its implementation," Jackson said. Translating from press-secretary speak: we're appealing this activist ruling, and we're going to win.
Meanwhile, Trump is playing galaxy-brain chess on Capitol Hill to get the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act passed. The SAVE America Act is the ultimate election security bill, aiming to establish a uniform photo ID standard, ban no-excuse mail-in voting, and completely destroy the practice of ballot harvesting. To force the swamp's hand, Trump threatened to withhold support for the bipartisan 21st Century Housing Act. It's a classic power move: pass the SAVE Act, or your favorite bipartisan housing bill gets the veto stamp.
Over on Fox News, host Laura Ingraham and Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan had a field day roasting the court's decision. Jordan didn't hold back, calling out the total lack of common sense in the ruling. He pointed out that by blocking the database, the judge is basically allowing non-citizens to stay on voter rolls, which completely undermines the integrity of the whole system. You can’t make this stuff up.
So here we are, heading into the midterms with the mail-in ballot printer still set to "go brrr" because a federal judge decided that checking voter registration is too much security. The left wants you to believe that wanting a secure database and basic photo ID is "voter suppression," while they fight tooth and nail to keep the back door wide open.
The battle is far from over. While the executive order is temporarily on ice, the White House is pushing forward with both legal appeals and legislative pressure. If Congress wants their precious housing bill, they are going to have to face the music on the SAVE Act sooner or later. Stay tuned, because the election integrity fight is just getting started.
