Boko Haram Strikes Again: Another Day, Another Nigerian Kidnapping (Surprise!)
Dozens of students snatched in Borno State, because apparently nobody learned anything from Chibok. Facepalm.

Maiduguri, Nigeria - So, Boko Haram's at it again. Remember the Chibok girls? Yeah, well, they're back with a sequel: Chibok 2: Electric Boogaloo. Dozens more students kidnapped in Borno State. Groundhog Day, anyone?
Let's be real, this is Nigeria. Boko Haram's been running wild for years. It's not exactly breaking news. These guys make the DMV look efficient. Their whole deal is being medieval fanatics who think girls shouldn't learn stuff. Shocker.
The elites will clutch their pearls. CNN will do a segment. Celebrities will tweet #BringBackOurGirls... again. Then, crickets. Until the next kidnapping, of course. The cycle continues. Insert eye-roll emoji here.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian government is probably “investigating” and “working to secure their release.” Translation: they'll issue strongly worded statements and maybe send in some troops to get ambushed. Remember that whole “defeating Boko Haram” thing they promised? Yeah, about that...
The real question nobody wants to ask is: what the heck is going on over there? Billions in aid down the drain, and Boko Haram's still thriving. Are we being played? Is this just a never-ending grift disguised as a humanitarian crisis? Follow the money, people.
Look, I'm not saying I have all the answers. But maybe, just maybe, throwing cash at the problem isn't working. Maybe it's time to stop enabling corruption and start demanding accountability. Maybe the West should stop pretending that “nation-building” is a viable strategy and focus on protecting its own borders. Just a thought.
So, yeah, students kidnapped. Boko Haram's winning. The Nigerian government is… well, doing whatever it is they do. And the world is watching, horrified but ultimately powerless. File this one under “things that will keep happening until something drastically changes.” Spoiler alert: nothing will drastically change.
Enjoy your freedom, folks. Count your blessings. And maybe homeschool your kids. You know, just in case.
(And yes, I'm aware this is dark humor. Sometimes, it's the only way to cope.)
