Gotta inject the feels, gotta signal that virtue. Turns out, the open-top bus parade was also a platform for…you guessed it…Palestine flags. Shocking. Absolutely shocking.

Look, I get it. La Liga, blah blah blah. Twenty teams battle it out, someone wins. It's a sport. But these days, nothing is just a sport anymore, is it? Everything's gotta be about THE CURRENT THING. Every single blessed thing.

It's like, congrats on the win, but more importantly, DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THE THING? DID YOU KNOW I CARE ABOUT THE THING? The open-top bus parade became yet another chance to broadcast personal righteousness to the world. Groundbreaking. So brave.

The whole thing is peak clown world. Imagine actually thinking that waving a flag at a football parade is going to accomplish anything of substance. It's performative activism at its finest. Slacktivism on steroids. You might as well change your profile pic and call it a day.

Honestly, what's next? Are we going to start seeing QR codes on jerseys that lead to donation pages for various political causes? Will they start taking a knee before kickoff in solidarity with…whatever the latest cause du jour is?

Remember when you could just watch a game and enjoy it? Remember when sports weren't completely infested with politics? Those were the days. Now, everything is woke. Everything is a battleground. Everything is exhausting.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if the Barcelona team started wearing rainbow-striped jerseys with the names of progressive heroes on the back. I mean, why not? They've already gone this far. Just embrace the absurdity of it all.

I'm sure the libs will be thrilled. They'll be patting themselves on the back, congratulating themselves for being so enlightened and compassionate. Meanwhile, the rest of us will be rolling our eyes and wondering when this madness will end. I'm gonna go take a walk. Maybe touch some grass. Or maybe just stare at a wall.
