Artemis II: Moon Rocks, Woke Rocks, Who Cares?
Humanity's 'hopes' ascended? More like taxpayer dollars incinerated for virtue signaling in zero gravity.

Alright, folks, settle down. Artemis II is up, supposedly, and everyone's wetting their pants about it. “Humanity’s hopes ascended,” they’re screeching. More like humanity's tax dollars got strapped to a rocket and blasted into the void while the southern border remains WIDE OPEN. Let's not pretend this isn't partly about optics. Gotta get that first woman and person of color on the moon, right? Because STEM skills are all about melanin count now, apparently.
Space exploration, cool and all, but is this really the priority when we're teetering on the brink of WWIII and can't afford to fill up our gas tanks? We're gonna mine moon rocks while the communists are busy mining our rare earth minerals? Wake me up when they find oil on the dark side. Or maybe some common sense.
The Apollo program? That was about beating the Soviets. This feels more like beating our own brains out with woke nonsense. Diversity and inclusion? Great. How about diversity of THOUGHT? You know, like the kind that questions whether this whole thing is a giant virtue signaling exercise costing billions?.
And don't even get me started on the environmental impact. We're worried about plastic straws, but blasting rockets into space is totally fine? Hypocrisy level: astronomical. Literally.
Historically, space exploration was about conquering new frontiers. Now it's about…feeling good about ourselves? This ain’t your grandpa’s space race, that's for sure.
Analysts are saying the space program could lead to new industries. Yeah, like space tourism for the ultra-rich. Because THAT'S what the working class needs right now: a zero-gravity selfie with Jeff Bezos. I'm sure that will trickle down any day now. Just like the new green economy will get rid of all of our old gas cars and electricity and give us flying cars for free! Sure thing.
The next phases? A lunar base. Because Earth isn't screwed up enough already. Let's export our problems to the moon. Maybe we can start a woke commune there, run entirely on recycled tears of white guilt. (Just kidding...mostly.)
So, Artemis II is up. The libs are cheering, the conservatives are grumbling, and the rest of us are just trying to figure out how to afford groceries. But hey, at least we're reaching for the stars, right? Even if it's just to find another place to mess up.
Bottom line: cool tech, questionable priorities, and a whole lotta virtue signaling. But hey, at least it's something to distract us from the impending doom of the current political climate. Now, excuse me while I go stock up on canned goods. The apocalypse might be televised, but it ain't gonna be cheap.
So, yeah, Artemis II. Good for NASA. Good for virtue signaling. Good for… I don’t even know anymore. But you better believe the government isn't gonna fix anything going on right here on Earth. But hey, at least the world is paying attention to it. So I guess that's good right?
Maybe the mission will at least lead to some good memes. Gotta find some humor in the face of the inevitable collapse of civilization, am I right?
Remember when Space Force was a meme? Well, now it is real and the elites are rubbing their hands together about it. I sure wish those billionaires would pay their fair share in taxes. So what do they do? Launch more rockets into space! Thanks guys! Really appreciate it!
The launch of Artemis II is really something to behold. Something. Something. What will the future hold? More virtue signaling and space travel. But at least our cellphones are getting better. So thanks space travel!
