So, another one bites the dust. Sixteen-year-old Lilly Bova, bless her heart, caught a stray (or not so stray) bullet in her Glenview apartment. Glenview, for those of you not in the know, is supposed to be one of those 'nice' Chicago suburbs. You know, the kind where the only crime is the HOA being a bunch of busybodies. But hey, welcome to the new normal. Thanks, Democrats!

According to the Cook County Sheriff's Office (aka the people actively making things worse), it was an 'isolated incident.' Right. Just like that time Hillary Clinton was 'extremely careless' with classified information. We're supposed to believe that random acts of violence just happen in well-to-do neighborhoods? Yeah, okay. Maybe if we ignore the defund the police movement, the catch-and-release policies, and the general woke-ification of everything, it's 'isolated.'

Glenbrook South High School is, of course, offering 'social workers' to the traumatized snowflakes. Translation: they're going to indoctrinate them with more leftist garbage about systemic oppression and white privilege instead of actually addressing the real problem – which is, you know, the actual crime. Remember when schools taught kids to duck and cover? Now they teach them about preferred pronouns.

Lilly's friends are quoted as saying she was a 'great person' with a 'smile on her face.' Great. Fantastic. That doesn't bring her back, does it? It's not going to stop the next crime, either. Thoughts and prayers? Maybe. But how about some actual solutions instead of virtue signaling?

Let's be honest: Chicago is a disaster. And it's spreading like a bad rash. You can't keep electing the same clowns and expect different results. This isn't rocket science. It's basic cause and effect. You weaken law enforcement, you empower criminals. You let the inmates run the asylum, and the asylum turns into a bloodbath.

So, what's the answer? Well, for starters, stop voting for Democrats. I know, I know, it's a radical idea. But hear me out. Maybe, just maybe, if we elect people who actually believe in law and order, things might start to improve. Second, support your local police. They're the only thing standing between you and the hordes. Third, arm yourselves. An armed society is a polite society. And fourth, pray. Pray hard. Because at this point, we're going to need a miracle.

Also, can we PLEASE stop with the gun control talk? Criminals don't follow laws, genius. It's in the name! Taking guns away from law-abiding citizens only makes them easier targets. Instead of punishing the innocent, let's punish the guilty. Harshly.

So yeah, another teen dead. Another community shattered. Another reminder that the American Dream is slowly turning into a nightmare. Thanks, Obama! (And Biden, and Kamala, and Lori Lightfoot, and every other woke politician who's ever set foot in City Hall.)
