11 Less Woke Swimmers: Heatwave Cull Edition
UK heatwave claims more victims, reminding us that natural selection still exists, despite what the libs say.

Alright, folks, gather 'round for another dose of reality. Eleven people have now taken the plunge into the Great Beyond during this UK heatwave. Turns out, water + heat + questionable decision-making = Darwin Award nominees. Two teenage lads, bless their cotton socks, got fished out of the Thames and some pond in Kent. No foul play, just good old-fashioned stupidity in the face of sweltering temperatures.
The Royal Life Saving Society UK wants you to “stop and think” before you jump in. Yeah, good luck with that. Thinking is a rare commodity these days. Especially when it's hotter than Satan's armpit and you're desperate for a dip. The UKHSA is also chiming in with a “yellow heat health alert.” Yellow? Is that all they got? Should be code red, with sirens blaring: “DANGER: WATER MAY NOT BE YOUR FRIEND.”
But let's be real. This isn't just about the heat. It's about the dumbing down of society. Common sense has gone the way of the dodo. Remember when kids were taught to respect nature? Now they're too busy virtue signaling on TikTok to realize that a river isn't a giant bathtub. The libs want to blame 'climate change' but what about personal accountability? These folks ain't victims of climate change. They're victims of bad choices. The climate has been changing for centuries; people drowning due to foolish choices is nothing new.
Then we got the usual suspects popping off. Fifteen-year-old Declan Sawyer, 72-year-old woman at West Angle Bay beach. A 13-year-old kid, Reco Puttock, gone too soon at Leadbeater Dam. These are tragedies, no doubt. But let’s not pretend these tragedies are caused by anything other than lack of judgement and plain old ignorance. You can't legislate against stupidity.
The globalists want to control every aspect of our lives, down to how we cool off. They want to micromanage everything and tell us how to live and when to breathe. Nah, I prefer freedom, even if it means some people make boneheaded choices. It's a tough lesson, but some lessons can only be learned the hard way.
So, crack open a cold one, crank up the AC, and remember the fallen. But don't shed too many tears. They made their choices. And as we all know, some choices have consequences. In this case, the consequence was a one-way ticket to the bottom of a pond. And yes, that's dark humor. But sometimes, dark humor is the only way to cope with the sheer idiocy of the modern world.
Ultimately, it’s on each individual to evaluate the risk and make smart choices. Are we to believe these deaths would not have occurred if the government had intervened further? Perhaps. However, there is a slippery slope when it comes to big government. With each rule that is implemented to protect us, we concede an element of freedom. At a certain point, we must be allowed to make our own mistakes. It is what makes us human.
The UN chief is calling this heatwave “a brutal reminder” of the climate crisis. Sure, pal. How about a brutal reminder that people need to be smart around water? That personal responsibility is not a relic of the past? That sometimes, the best way to stay alive is to use your brain?
If the solution is for the government to completely control what we do, maybe we should simply live in a bubble. No sun, no swimming, just pure, unadulterated safety. But who wants that? The right to make mistakes is as important as anything else. We must remember that.
